I would suggest to look for tournament stamp or early release that was made in early spring 2010.

King of the Hill 2's player's package was a flat top star Mako that I grabbed for my backups.

Now, I have three Makos. 8-)

Was the 2010 Minuteman Mako first run? Know the Mako came out about then and I think I remember seeing a few still for sale at the Spring Fling...

Hard to say...

If it was released (or received) before mid-Spring 2010, then its flat-topped.

If its released (or received) during or after mid-Spring 2010, then it could be either flat or domey.

It sucks to have to see it with your own eyes before buying... :cyclopsani: :cyclopsani:

I won't buy one unless I see it.

The Borderland ones are not flat...i've rifled through them countless times.

The only ones that i've noticed that run consistently flat are the 1st runs, hence the thread title

I'll pay $20.

Remind me to show you the one I have from the Minuteman. It looks pretty flat to me. It's a 173 and I'd let it go for a replacement Mako (not as picky on flatness).

you Kovo, Sabattus Disc Golf had some first runs left over after I got my paws on 'em. Give them a call, I'd bet they ship...and it was under $20.

Kovo, I just noticed that Hoey has two makos on his trade/ sell list that he described as flat. Just a heads up in case you missed it.

For what its worth I have a yellow first run mako that is not flat, so even w those it seems like typical innova "consistency".

Erik, do you throw the Mako as a dead straight disc or more of a turn over disc? Ive read both descriptions and can't tell how hard you'd need to throw it for it to turn-

Both Jaxon, but majority are probably anny/turnover shots where I need a finish to the left.

Unfortunately Innova has been unable to reproduce the flatness of the 1st runs, thus I've hoarded quite a few of these. 3 aces with two of them.

You're gonna drop $30+ on eBay if you really want one.

What?!? You already have 5 1st run Makos and you still need more?!?

Did you lose them a lot?

Sometimes I would collect the backup discs that works for me and then maybe two or three (seasons) years later, a better disc came out and starting to replace my regular discs.

I think this year, the Saint might be replacing Stalker in my bag but not yet confirmed due to needing more "testing"... :cyclops:

Haven't lost any yet.

I can't see this disc ever being phased out of my bag. It does magical things.

5 isn't nearly enough

I have 13 esp comets. Like kovo said I don't see myself ever taking it out of the bag and they don't make them so why not collect as many as you can.
