NEDGC and the CT/RI regional qualifying series

NEFA is proud to announce the creation of the New England disc golf Championship (NEDGC)!

When: October 5, 2013

Where: PRO divisions @ maple hill DGC
AM divisions @ hylands DGC
Followed by awards and a season ending party @ hylands

Who: 90pro/90am. NEFA has 5 regions, each has been awarded invites based closely off last years membership totals. The Ct/Ri region has been given 17pro and 17am invites.

How: CT and RI players can earn an invite by competing in a regional series, taking the NEFA points from their best 3 events.

-The NEDGC committee is currently voting on allowing all events within the region be qualifiers. This could add fairfield, waveny, Tolland and ninigret, if they decide to host a tournament.
-a player has to compete in the minimum 3 events to have his/her points factored.
-players have to be NEFA members to earn an invite!!!

The NEDGC will have $1250 added cash with each of the five regions responsible for $250 worth of fundraising.

Join NEFA! More members means more invites in the years to come.

Please keep in mind that the regular NEFA points series is separate from the regional series. The points series has its own required minimums for events. With most of the qualifying events NEFA sanctioned, it makes the events both a points event and a regional qualifier. It's been a few years since there has been enough events to allow players a chance at qualifying inside the state. I'd love to see a player from our region win both the points series and the NEDGC. Lets go!

I have not submitted the report for the cranbury ice bowl. If you want your points you NEED to be a member! I will give you all 24hrs. After which there is only so much Greg and I can do.
