11x firebird

Post by Justin White »

What do people think are similar discs to an 11x? Glo firebirds? Are 12x different? I lost my go to and don't feel like spending $30-$40 on an 11x.

Borderland as some glo firebirds from a couple years ago, which are very flat and overstable. The run was considered very similar to the 11x.

They were going for $20, but we could help a brother out with a discount.

Just look for a board flat 12X. That should be pretty close, the glow ones may even be more overstable then an 11xer.

I think the glo are more overstable, unfortunately, there isnt anything quite like the 11x, they felt just right, and werent super meat hooks, but you could always depend on them in the wind...

There are quite a few from the 12x, pre-flight #'s runs that fly very similarly to 11x, but have a very slight dome, instead of being flat. Tourney stamps from the same era are also always a great way to go. For me, the really flat glow runs are too overstable, more than 11x's, for sure. I think the latest production runs of really flat, stiff, pearly plastic are similar to glow FB's, but I could be wrong.

I assume there are plenty of dealers with older 12x stock out there at retail prices. I bet disc golf values has them, and I remember LSDiscs having a bunch on ebay.
