MAPLE HILL 2012
Re: MAPLE HILL 2012
Hey Dave, I was told shortly after the VO that my Orange destroyer that I lost on 16 had been recovered, I just looked threw the l&f and dont see it listed, would it be possible for you or someone to check and see if its actually there or not?

Re: MAPLE HILL 2012
Lost my favorite pro leopard trying to take the water route on Hole 5 blue tee. Turned over a little too much and caught a tree and plopped straight down, just a bit too far/deep for me to reach. How often are discs retrieved from the water?
On a brighter note, was my first time getting out to play Maple Hill and I had a freakin' blast! Played three rounds on reds whites and blues. Maybe next time I'll have the nerve to let the golds destroy me.

Re: MAPLE HILL 2012
The diver is coming in November.
We find many in the spring.
I hope we find it for ya bud
The GOLD's are about as much fun as the dentist. If you throw comfortably over 300', they are more fun.

Re: MAPLE HILL 2012
Left my prized blue Champ Cobra out there somewhere yesterday.
I hope someone picked it up. Name is on it but may be faded. Premium 6 pack reward for it's safe return.

Well look at that. Both my Wizard and Leopard look like they've been retrieved and are on the list. Can't wait for Maple Hill to open back up so I can get them!

Re: MAPLE HILL 2012
On Sunday, I lent my orange blizzard wraith to my doubles partner on hole 1, after I parked my shot on the green. I figured that since it was only 130g, it would float anyway. Well, he promptly threw it in the pond. It did float, but without any wind, it just sat there floating and laughing at me. We saw Karl and he was going to dive the pond that afternoon. Even after a round and a half, it hadn't made any progress toward the shore. I was wondering if it had eventually floated over to land and made it into the store?
Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that disc getting bigger?". Then it hits me.

Re: MAPLE HILL 2012
Rob,
Right after I was talking with you guys (at hole 8) I got into my truck (wet wet suit and all) and drove over to hole 1 (to dive, which I did), but there was NO 'floater' disc floating there! I figured that in the interim it had drifted to shore and that someone had picked it up (between you guys throwing it in there and the 8 'holes worth of time' you were playing (holes 1 - 8) and when I got there. If so, let's hope it was an ethical guy.

Re: MAPLE HILL 2012
Thanks, Karl. I checked in the store before I left, but didn't have any luck.

Any discs ever come out of that "water" on hole 14 blue? Lost a prized flx buzzz in there today.

Re: MAPLE HILL 2012
They DO come "out" of 14...just none yet this year (had to do 4,5, & 6 before the weeds got TOO stupid) and did a little on 8 and 1 just for giggles. I'll dive her (14) sometime in the next month.

Re: MAPLE HILL 2012
Just understand that that "water" on little 14 has ridiculous branches, mud, monsters, etc. in it so finding ANY is pot-luck at best (read: no guarantee). But I'll try....

Re: MAPLE HILL 2012
I understand, the effort is appreciated. It went in just slightly off center of the "pond". Slightly closer to the road and tee. right next to the large branch currently sticking out.

Re: MAPLE HILL 2012
We fixed the pipes up and now there is fresh water running into the "scuzzy" pond on #14White/Blue, which is clearing up the water a little-itsy-bitsy-bit...
When I think of that pond, I think of the movie "Friday the 13th".
I'm just waiting for the day when Jason Voorhees rises from it's depths and cuts my goddamn head off with a machete....
F that pond!!!!
I'd like to fill it in
