SO I heard back from the guy, here's what he said.

Hey Rob,
Many thanks for the contact. I lost that disc at West Thompson some two years ago! I don't make it up that way to often (from Westchester, NY). Could I mail you a postage-paid mailer for you to drop at a post office? If it's too much of a hassle please keep it or give it to someone who might throw it.

So some d-bag had been playing with his disc for 2 years, I don't get this kind of mentality. Made me feel good to contact this guy, We all know what it's like to get a beloved lost disc back (actually I don't )

So I show up today @ Tully solo, which I often do, meet 3 guys and we agreed to do dubz, they were all pretty new to the sport, one guy has a disc marked Garret Obrien, his name was not Garret, I asked him where he got it, gave me some wise a$$ remark " I found it along the way".

I tell them it's good karma and ethics to return discs that have names and #'s on them. They listened but I could tell they thought I was the one being a tool, the fact that they were pretty wasted wasn't helping their ability to think straight either.

Anyways, the guy who gave me the wise comment about the discs, throws a horrible shot on #6, goes way left and deep into the underbrush, we search for 1/2 an hour (seriously) it was only a dx valk too!, finally we call the search. I ask him if his name and # was on it. He says yes and then goes on to say, " I hope whoever finds it calls me or puts it in lost and found", I look right at him and say, "yeah, just like you did". I probably didn't make any new friends that round, but I post this to tell you Karma is alive and well as are disc thieves @ Tully.

so peeps the rate of disc has gotten out of hand.....more then one man wants to dealy with....

and the rangers don't want them...so


attention please...as the RULE on ACOE is under 10 bucks is trash basically....ALL DX DISC are gonzo..they will go to newbs--kids---clinics instantly....or be sold to fund future dives/clinics/course upgrades...

OBV I am not dumb....I know a money disc from crap DX....so they will be spared!!! such as a beat Mr Marcus ROC for example...or a worn sexy putter...I know and understand the difference

I am talking chewed archangles/valks/beast ya get the cyclone point..they annoy me so much I actually wanna melt them all down and send the pile of molten crap back to innova/discrap with a BILL for cleaning up their crap disc that give no instruction to newbs like hey newb don't think your gonna throw this disc on a water hole that is out of your skill level..esp if ya don't go to REC tee and expect different results then splash down....

anyways...DX sux..people who throw them tend to SUX...and for the love of DG please if you TEND to SUX go to the REC TEEEEEEEEEEE

so I think I am gonna make a fixed sign..with my email...and people can come to my house at this fixed time each week if they desire disc...if I know ya I will see ya...as always...no more complaining, no more blah blah...

a contact---a time---if your disc was returned/retrieved it will be here waiting for you to come get it....
as for a list I doubt it for now till these disc reduce in numbers...it will be like playing scratchies....maybe ya got one maybe ya don't!..lol

Thanks for dealing with this, more of a headache than I would want, send those beat crap dx's or no names my way, I'll put them in the otter brook course free loaner pile I am building.

Although I doubt a bobka disc woulda slipped through the cracks to return...

on a side note..think L and F box soon for OBACOE get it in there right from the start not 8 years later like Tullllz...lol

I'm hoping OB won't take a tenth of the casualties that Tully does, however, an L/F box is a good idea, I'm hoping we can work on an honor system and not have to lock it. Two main reasons, 1. I don't want to deal with it
2. I would still like to believe that if you give folks a chance to be honest, they will rise to the occasion.

yup if ya lock it peeps just wanna steal em more..but there has been thefts..flatrock and noho stand out as most recent...maybe a combo lock and just give it to the real deal warriors or as ya meet peeps give it out...plus no water will = < tullz anyways

well anyways someone actually called me for a disc..is coming by the house to grab it...wowzer in shock
