CAMPGAW UPDATE!

Post by Scott Howard »

We did it! Yesterday Web, Greg Van Nest and his son and daughter, Maureen, Rob Walczak and I assembled and installed the 8 baskets that where obtained through the Campgaw Basket Fund Drive. This is HUGE for Campgaw. The Campgaw Layout (Future Green Circles) is now available for play year round! The Mighty Gaw Layout (Future Blue Squares/Black Diamonds) will be available March through late November/Early December. Of course, this project would not have been a success with out the generous donations of our extremely generous disc golf community. Please give thanks to the people and businesses who donated their money for this cause.

Just a heads up....The back 8 holes of the Mighty Gaw are officially closed until the end of the ski season...Look forward to early April for Mighty Mud Gaw to reopen...The 18 hole Campgaw layout is remains open year-round.

11's and 15's baskets finally went back in yesterday. Mighty Gaw is playing sick right now! Grass will be high soon though. Skylands is holding a monthly on Saturday 5/12 at 10AM. Come on down play the highest par course in the north east!

Campgaw is devastated! We have multiple triple and quadruple tree trunks lying across tees and fairways. Mostly huge old growth oaks. We are having a work day this Sunday to clean up what is humanly possible.

The Mighty Gaw is one hell of a layout.

The place looked great after all the devastation in that area.

My hats off to whoever is cleaning that place up. Monster oaks down all over, yet the course is completely fine for play. Y'all got animals volunteering down there and it shows.
