Need Help
I am looking for someone to play a few rounds with next week for a little coaching and instruction. I am pretty new but I know the basics and OK form. I am looking for someone to to play a few rounds with and bounce questions off of and someone who can possibly give me tips/instruction on how to improve/correct my form. I can come to your course and I will pay for the service as long as its reasonable. Please respond here or send me a pm with details if you are willing to take on this challenge. I will be available any day next week Tuesday through Friday (05/28/13-05/31/13).

Chris - this forum reaches across many miles.
In order to help those that would respond, in what area do you live?

Sorry about that. Must be brain dead...I live in western Mass. So I would be willing to travel to almost any NE courses. Thanks for fixing me on this.

Re: Need Help
Come and play any local leagues and you will pick up a lot of information from there FOR FREE!!
Paying someone to teach you is the same as paying to play the league.
I'll be happy to teach for free if you could come up to Austine (Brattleboro, VT). There's $3 Austine league on every Sundays at 1pm.
I usually attend Tully league on Wednesdays. There's Double league in Northampton on Saturdays. UMass has one too.
Go play with people!

Re: Need Help
Thanks Patrick but I have a limited schedule. I do play some of my local leagues when I get the chance. Just between my work schedule and family life I dont get as much time as I would like. Plus nothing beats 1 on 1 instruction when you need help. Oh and VT is pretty far to play league. The $3 fee turns into $30 in gas lol.

Having a dedicated instructor, even for just one hour, is likely to be of far greater benefit than ten weeks of league, so I'll politely disagree with you on the idea that paying for lessons is the same as paying for a league. Full disclosure though, I do offer lessons for a fee so I might be a bit biased in that regard...not sure how much help I can be to Chris though. I doubt a four+ hour drive is worth it when there are plenty of really good players with brains to pick a lot closer to home.
League is still a good idea, however. Playing it a few times may not be quite as effective as one-on-one instruction, but it could lead to a connection with someone who could give you that one-on-one help you seek.
Good luck.

Re: Need Help
Thanks Josh. Yeah I try to get out to league as much as I can. I am always picking peoples brains but I agree with you that you cant beat the 1 on 1 instruction. I also agree that driving 4 hrs to get the lesson even if its free is still not doable for me. But I do thank you for the offer.

Thanks Kyle. I am free Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. I know you are right by maple hill so I can come there if its easier for you. Just let me know what day you have off or what time you can get out and I will meet you there. Thanks for the help. Oh and Eric and I are planning on going to Buff for a round on Tuesday morning if you are interested.
