This is similar to the one I used for a few years. I took it golfing about 10 times and had no issues getting up and over roots and small branches. I used it more often when jogging and/or walking the dog, which it was perfect for.
If you have the time, I suggest reading the Amazon reviews of whichever strollers you're looking at. Most of the people leaving a review are people who give enough of a crap to give a decent review and not just an un-thought-out rant about whether it stinks or not. Happy hunting.

you need to get the kind with the larger wheels. The little 4'' wheels don't cut it.

Exactly what Mike D said.
The one we got (off the registry
) had 16" back wheels and I think a 12" on the front.

Re: A "Stroll" in the woods
Titan, google "bob stroller"
They are built tough as nails and have large inflatable tires, shocks, and a handbrake I believe.
Fairly expensive, but built very tough.
We have the one with a fixed position wheel on the front. They also make one where the front wheel swivels.
Check them out.
Expensive and very dope.

Re: A "Stroll" in the woods
My first child was the only one that I got to play stroller rounds with. By the time she was 1.5 she wanted to walk, and it became impossible. With two, I never tried.
I think the single wheel in the front allows for more manueverability.

That's my plan, I will bum smokes off him, my guess is he's rolling them up in utero as we speak.

Re: A "Stroll" in the woods
Titan, I use the Jeep stroller. It is much cheaper than the BOB stroller, has saddle bags and easily fits a twelve pack of bottles underneath. It has an "Ibaby" to play music. They have good customer service. It was $150 with free two day shipping (amazon prime). It showed up with a tear in the inner tube. I called the company and they sent a replacement wheel immediately. It is heavier and doesn't fold as small as our four wheeled chico, but it was a lot cheaper. It is fine to jog with or go off roading. Kate is 14 months and we still get plenty of use out of it. I like how under the front on the stroller is another compartment by her feet. When she drops her cup or a toy, it stays safe in the netted compartment. I bought it with golfing in mind, but we have used it lots of other places where the other stroller wouldn't work as well, such as the beach. It is more difficult in stores, but if you have a head full of steam at home depot, people tend to get the hell out of your way.
Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that disc getting bigger?". Then it hits me.

I swear that we payed less than this. Kate also enjoys beeping the horn at people. She must get that from her mother.

Re: A "Stroll" in the woods
I just bought one off Craigslist for a DG cart... people are constantly selling them as their kids grow up. Most of them are listed in the $40-$100 range, but I was relentless in looking and got one for $20! Mine is an Instep. I wish I had bought one 5 years ago!
