hand antipersperant cream?
hand antipersperant cream?
I know that you can't use cream to improve your grip (although I can't find it in the rules) but how about using an antiperspirant cream? (Yes it improves grip, but by keeping your hands dry, not tacky)

A birdie bag does the same thing and is legal to use(i assume because most DG stores sell it).

Zak,
You can't find it in the rule book because it isn't there. Why do you think it can't be used?
In fact, it is specifically allowed -- Reference QA11.

Oh snap, looks like I got a new addition to my bag!
Maybe it was like one of those old wives tales I heard years ago.
So you could use pine tar if you wanted to as long as it doesn't leave anything on the disc?

As long as you clean the buildup off the disc, yes. You can't let it get looking like a Red Sox batting helmet!

Zak,
make sure you clean off the buildup because when we call you on a foul for that 100 footer you hit we don't want a situation like this!

I use a zip lock baggie of regular old road sand; a couple shakes in the palm/fingers and I'm good to go.
Nice dry stone dust works just as well.

a sandy lil rock..keep in your pocket and rub on fingers..if sand wears off just get a new one..I like the ones that are semi jagged all around for better grit
