Courses near Moody/Wells, ME?

Post by Andrew_Bottcher »

I'll be in the Wells area the first week in October. Any good courses I should hit up?

Bellamy Park in Dover, NH is pretty close and semi-highly rated. Any others I should play? I'm willing to drive a bit, too.

Thanks in advance!

Bellamy was about a 35 minute drive from Wells. Mostly wooded.
Bennett Disc Farm in Gorham, ME was about 1 hour from that area. Mostly bombs away.

That was as far of a drive as I could get away with that week. Others will know better about distances from Wells.

You got Boom Field that is in Saco, not too far from Wells. Woodland Valley is a great place with 2 courses that is out in Limerick. Pleasant Hill in Scarborough is about 30-40 minutes north and really easy to get to but can be pretty busy at times.

May want to avoid BDF in Gorham right now, heard it hasn't been mowed for a while and the hay may be getting above waist level....

Good point. I was there only a week after their summer tourney and the place was in perfect shape. I think this year's tourney was early August so..........math.

I went to Saco last weekend from York and it was great. It took about 35-40 mins but was a pretty easy ride
If you have time, head to Woodland Valley but if time is a constraint then Boom Field is a great alternative
