That made me unhappy. And the sound quality was terrible on NESN+

Tigers are going to concede after they get smoked in the first 3 games.

I'm pretty sure I heard the Fenway faithful chanting "Stew-ie... Stew-ie... Stew-ie..." the other night.

Since I don't have a horse in the race, I'm hoping they both go 7. Nothing better in sports than a game 7

I'm an American League guy. It's going to be hard for this Yankee fan to cheer for the American League in this one. If only Donny Baseball and the Dodgers played better, I would have an easier time picking a team.
The most unremarkable stat of the playoffs? How the player on the Sox was doing prior to their game winning hit. It is really a crazy game.

Agreed...with a caveat. And that is IF THE BLASTED GAME IS IN NOVEMBER. Sorry, baseball is NOT a winter sport (Some day a REAL northern team will get the Series, have an extended snowy period and they will NOT be able to play the games "at home"...just a matter of time). It's like when Tampa Bay got a HOCKEY TEAM. Just something wrong with that, too. Stupid. Shorten the season so the "boys of October" are a select few playing in the World Series and not EVERY Tom, Dick, and Sally playing in one of a myriad of playoff levels.

Agreed. But then the owners won't be sucking as much money out of the fans, tv deals, etc...
In the mid 90's there were Canadian Football League teams in San Antonio, Las Vegas, and other unlikely 'Murican cities. Money talks.

Re: MLB 2013
I couldnt agree more with shortening the season. 162 games is rediculous. Then they play a one game playoff for the Wild Card? Wow. Epic fail.
For starters they could go back to the 150? game schedule they used to play. I think 100-120 would be plenty and you can start in mid April to early May instead of early April when the weather still sucks in a lot of baseball cities. Then you can play all of your playoff series as best of 7 and be done by the beginning of October.
I honestly think that if they dont have some sort of baseball reform, it will not make it another century.

Cut the season by 1/3rd (at least) and have playoffs finish right before football season. Boom. Easy game.
