Happy to announce we finally have 18 holes in and playing well (still have some housekeeping to do on 14 and 17).
I hope to get a total footage number tomorrow along with getting some temp signage for the back 9 in the ground.
A big thanks to the fellas who spent their valuable time working on the course. It's taken 3+ years and without them it may have taken 3 more.

Re: Lufbery Park In Wallingford is officially 18.
Got to finally check out this course yesterday afternoon on my way home from Hartford.
I am sincerely impressed. Fantastic hole design, pathways, and signage on the older holes. Really great use of elevation changes, and nice shot making lines.
I could see just how raw holes 10 through 18 are ... but ... WOW ... nearly every one of these holes is keeper. Hole 10 seems like a reachable par 4 and has options for alternate tees to change the angles. Hole 11 plays longer than it looks but is really clean and has two good routes off the tee.
Absolutely loved the Hole 12-14 stretch. Big downhill bomber, then across the ravine for a must birdie, and then the signature hole IMO ...
Hole 14 is just tremendous. I think it could really be classified as a par 5 due to the difficulty of the tee shot, and then the length and shot making needed after crossing the ravine, and then the elevated basket atop the rock. I made an uphill 28' putt for five (after being in the ravine on my drive), and truly felt like I had saved a par.
Whoever "found" these three holes should be commended because they're fantastic. And the two shorter holes after that were also nice birdie runs with a slightly different flavor than the shorter holes on the front.
Playing with a couple locals involved in the design, they agreed that holes 17 and 18 are a bit weak. Hole 17 has good potential to be a solid par 4 due to the right to left corner and elevation gain.
But hole 18 has danger written all over it with the extreme drop on the left side of the green. I liked the use of the old foundation as a green, but that drop off is way too gnarly to bring into play. Turning the hole around would be a nice addition to the course as a "straight and level" par 3, or bring the slope above the ballfield into play with a hole playing to a basket mid-way between the top and bottom.
I shot a 62 and definitely left at least six shots out there ... I will be back to play as soon as my schedule allows to see how the course grows.
