I like those too Mike but we already have the Fly Pads and we would have a build a box for pavers anyway.
If its cheaper than fly pads we could consider that for the Alts that need Tees.

Anybody have any Idea what kind of course funds we have? Ill sponsor a hole with a new Tee box. Im thinking 17.

What's wrong with the tees?
If you guys would just stand still when you throw there would be no issues. :D

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the shape/condition of the pads. I remember playing Page before the formal tee boxes were put in and how nice they are now. I'd be happy to help, volunteer time with any tee pad improvements.

Just caught up with this message board after some time.

You have my approval to do any work day stuff you can. I won't be of much help for awhile as i am recuperating from a broken hip.

I have a small amount of funds. Without going to check, I estimate I have around $100. Maybe less.
We used a lot of our fund up buying the alt basket set. Nefa grant helps but is only $300-400.
There may be some league money still out there for the fund. see whoever are operating them.
Donations welcome.

The current tee box construction was made with the plastic/wood lumber that we got for free from the town. The stone dust as well.
Our biggest single hurtle is getting stone dust out to all of the holes to help with the run-up and the run-past. If we could do more of that it would be a help. This way the lumber is more buried and less a trip hazard. Originally that was the intent, but supplies of stone dust always dwindled quickly. The town will provide us more stone dust if we ask. Also, we could dig under the current tee-box frames and bury them lower.

I'm available just hit me up.

Tomorrow (Tuesday June 4) the course will change the locations of holes 7,8 and 9. The elementary school that borders that edge of the course has asked us to relocate due to concerns for students safety, which is largely driven by the Sandy Hook shootings. I think you will find that the course plays just as well as before. If you are available that day, we could use some volunteer support.

I'm suspecting that after 6 a new 7 would go down the path towards 10's tee. Then 10 would become the new 8, etc. But where are the 2 new holes after that? Or am I all wrong?

After 6.....7 tees off from just in front of the old pad, right side of the old fairway maybe 80 feet up from the old pad. Downhillish long hole to 8's basket. It's a tough hole better to be safe and stay on the fairway. Jesse swears he can 2 it though. It's a slight s turn line for a righty if you want to go for it. The new 8 is a small walk straight back from 8's basket...It honestly feels like you are in Vermont back here, and hole 8 remind me of a North Calis long wooded fairway, tons of trouble off to the side but the middle is clear, probably the widest wooded fairway on the course. This one is pretty much dead straight a little bend left at the end 400+ feet long and a nice wide fairway. 9 is the old Alt 9, the tee is just a bit back of where it used to be. Really nice tee pads on 7 and 8 too. The town had some heavy equipment out there clearing stuff. Check em out they add a lot of challenge to the course.

Kinda tough to describe in words I should have took pics.

There was talk of adding another 18 hole course. Ill be talking with the town next year about that.
I removed the lost and found box because someone figured out a way to fish discs out. It'll be back as soon as I fix the problem.

I played CF on Tues. for the first time in a long time. I was really impressed with the new holes, the improvements with the new tar tee boxes on the begining holes and also with all the wood chips spread through out. You guys rock! Big thanks to all involved, I look forward to getting out there on a more regular basis. New hole 7 and 8 kicked my butt both times through, I'll have to play a lot smarter next time out.
