Played Pilgrim Pines in Swanzey this morning

Post by Derek DeCoste »

For those of you in the Keene area who are still waiting for flooding to stop, and iced over fairways to melt, I went out to check out Pilgrim Pines at Swanzey lake this morning. Little squishy on holes 1 and 9, and two tee's were a little snow covered but it's open, and definitely playable.

where is the course? is it closer to the beach and the dining hall, or is on the Camp Squanto side of the property? does it go through the woods up into the hills?

it plays across the pitch and putt ball golf course and surrounding woods...hole 1 is over the pond..hole 9 is along the outlet stream of pond...the rest climbs up the hill and back down...

super fun serious

Definitely agree that this 9-hole course is neat. There ARE birdies to be had out there but also - especially if the wind kicks up - there are bogies too (even though the course is open by N.E. standards).
