We have extended online registration until Friday to discourage day of sign ups.

With the MA Senior Games competitors receiving t-shirts and such we would prefer to have everyone pre-reg for this event. The long term forecast looks great for the weekend so no one should procrastinate. Tell your "friend" that the early bird gets the worm. Your nephew should have already passed this info on to you, as he asked me the same question two weeks ago and I told him the same thing.

No Sandy this is not a NEFA event. Not sure why it says pending since we will not be offering all the divisions necessary to meet the NEFA criteria.

Course is looking mighty spry for all the oldsters. Been mowed, thanks to Ken Wagner, and all the sign posts are in, thanks to a diverse crew in support of
Steve Teerlink's Eagle Scout project. The posts are a dark green which blend well with the course.

There is of course the little matter of the actual signs to contend with. Because we are being sponsored by First Alert, it is in our best interest to have a bunch of wandering, disoriented oldsters wandering about-- ("Help me; I've fallen and I can't get up!")-- so the signage probably won't appear until after the tournament.

**Correction: We'll have temp signage in place**

SO for those on the fence:

1) Maintain your balance
2) Go get a physical
3) Sign up!
4) Bring along your next of kin so we won't have to call them
5) A splendid time is guaranteed for for all! (both here, and should it come to that, in the hereafter)

Great Freudian slip on that one Davis, but Steve is Ben's father, and even though it seems to me that Steve wants the Eagle scout badge slightly more than his son Ben, it is Ben's scout project.

The pre-reg list has also been updated.

As of now it looks like we will be playing two rounds on the shorter layout.

It would be unconscionable to not let Marcus play.

hey dan -

very thoughtful to distribute Geritol between rounds. I'll have to bypass as Geritol upsets my tummy. I prefer Centrum 50+ chewables anyhow....

gonna be a fun event!

Wouldn't it be more prudent to have the prune juice bar at the start of the break? The middle of round 2 would be a terrible time for the juice to "take effect". :)

Industrial sized bottle of ADVIL and lots of ice after the first 18 would be nice.

Miscellaneous notes:

*Because of a combination of forgetfulness and embellishment issues, each group will be REQUIRED to be accompanied by a score keeper of 35 years of age or younger.

*Hospice care will be available after each round

*Please remember you progress FORWARD through a disc golf course, as opposed to your reverse mortgage.

*Courtesy rules require that if the group ahead of you has stopped in its progress, that you go gently wake them up. This will help with speed of flow.

*DNF's will be awarded a certificate of Honorable Discharge.

*Same for those with Leaky Bladder Syndrome

*Last but not least, The Springfield Republican is giving us a tournament special of half off for death notices.

*So if you can't buy the farm, at least buy the paper!

Joseph... I was going to ask you the same. You were missed! Packages of Depends type garments as CTG prizes. A fine time was had by all, though some of us think it was just our imaginations.

Thanks Dan Hale and all the Crane Hill crew that helped put on this event. Crane has really drawn a loyal, dedicated following and it shows in the improvements in that course each time I play. Great groups all day and beautiful weather contributed to a really enjoyable event. Looking forward to doing it again.
