I have slowly started to play around with backhand rollers. Just need to find a nice field to actually practice. I will try it out in warm ups here and there.

I tried that 2 years ago when we had PCC..what a great roller course/land

I could never get that huge BHR shot down but don't really have a huge BH to begin with

I did take away from practicing rollers the confidence to try a 2 finger roller for approach shots when needed though

Hole 1 at Crane would be a good practice hole. Same for 18 if they're mowed.

Totally spoiled with the practice field and 5-6 roller holes at Jpark.

Its never too late to learn a new shot. 18 years into my disc golf career I rarely threw forehand. I started throwing it more and more and over the past 7 years my game is up to about 60% forehand off the tee. I am trying to work on more mid range flicks this year.

Im working on adding a spin putt outside 25ft. Something faster/more direct to the basket. Normally i only loft putt but it has its disadvantages, namely long putts and putts in the wind. hoping to make this change to make more putts outside 25ft. so far im having a tuff time with it though.

been struggling with the flick putt during actual rounds...but have promise in the yard

def have to commit to that shot much like any but if ya don't it is ugly and baffles you where the disc goes

still seems good to shake hands with the target even flick putting and arm tucked closer to body seems more accurate

maybe by winter I will have it down better and might see more in round use

Mainly working on my drives, looking to get more snap and hip movement. Want to throw another 50ft further by end of the season.

Btw Titan, I love flick putting with a VP I use it more of an approach or odd stance situations.

starting to bang da chains often

def takes getting used to flicking at slow speeds
def helps ya learn the disc flick putt/approaching

still in round on approaches with flick putters hanging my arm out and getting way off target

If you want to learn the opposite spin, play the lefty/righty game with a friend. You each drive with your primary throw and something different off the tee (opposite hand, overhand, flick). Choose which one you like and pick up the other drive. To make it more of a strategy game you can limit it to 2 in a row then forced to take the other spin. (ie if I take my flick drive on 1 and 2, I only get to throw backhand off the tee on 3)
