I will be in Hartford Sat 8/24 looking for a course to hit.

Post by Brad Dahle »

So me and a buddy will be going to see the Allman Brothers at the Comcast Theater this Saturday 8/24. Wickham looks to be the closest course, which is fine, except my buddy just played the tourney there this past weekend. I am just looking for another good course suggestion as an alternate to hit up in the afternoon. Definitely no further east or north. We will be traveling from near FDR Park in Yorktown NY. Thanks.

Page Park in Bristol 30 min west of Wick, and not far off 84.
Plays quick and contrasts Wick nicely

2nd the suggestion on Page Park. Fun course with some good elevation and a water hole.

I play Page daily and can tel you yes it is ok, but if your going to be in Hartford, why not play Tolland or cross farms or West Thompson lake?

They are closer to Hartford on the east side, if you are coming on from the west then yeah Page or Panthorn park are both pretty good too, Luffberry in Wallingford is nice, they are all pretty good.

Page has a ton of trees that can be challenging so if your not into deep woods play re think page otherwise if it is central to you for your trip got for it.

If you come in via 91 south or north to Hartford though or from 84 heading west then as I mentioned the others are going to be closer than page.

To be honest I would just play Wickham as it is the nicest course out of them all in Ct, just because your buddy played it doesnt exactly give him a large advantage.

This is to funny as I posted this last summer. How it ever got back to the top I'll never know. 8-) we ended up playing page and loved it and have been back many times. But Wickham is the bomb. ... literally.
