Pyramids Mixed Doubles & NEFA Auction
Saturday, November 22, 2014 / Pyramids, 103 Marshall St., Leicester MA 01524

Description: Two rounds of best disc doubles, with one guy and one gal on each team, regardless of division. 100-percent of proceeds going directly to NEFA. Beverage & dinner provided.

Four Divisions: Pro (one or both), Am, Century (combined age over 100), and Newcomers (one or both players new to tournaments)

Entry Fee, Payout and Ace Pot: $50 per team. Payout to top 50-percent in each division in NEFA Auction Dollars, good at this year’s auction immediately following the tournament. $10 per team optional ace pot (paid out in real dollars, or carried over to the next Pyramids tourney).

Schedule: Players meeting at 8:45 and first round Golds promptly at 9 a.m. Lunch, round two Silvers at about 1 p.m. Then dinner, awards and the NEFA Auction, featuring Joe “Lick Me” Proud & Billy Mac.

Maximum number of golfers: 72, or 36 teams

Lunch: Atlas Pizza will be here in the morning to take lunch orders.

NEFA Auction: At past NEFA Auctions, the list of donations included cars, trips, massages, dinner for two, household items, fudge, frisbee memorabilia, all kinds of discs, and a guitar the winner had to burn. Please use this opportunity to pass along stuff that messes with your feng shui. Just no televisions please; I still have a couple in the attic from the last auction.

Feel free to drop off auction donations at the Marshall Street Pro Shop, conveniently located at Pyramids, anytime between now and the tournament, or pledge your item on the tournament thread here.

There's a lot of women in the world. All we need to do is get 36 to agree to come to this tournament. Maybe through sheer force of will, and bribes, like promises of future servitude and degradation. Going to a wedding -- pretty much any wedding -- comes to mind.

My girlfriend won't play with me. She loves playing, honestly, more than I do. Most of the rounds I play now are with her. She never ever says no to disc golf. But she doesn't like playing if someone besides me is watching -- with rare and special exceptions -- which does limit her participation in groups bigger than 2.

So I'm looking for a girl who otherwise wouldn't play this tournament, and can hit some 15 foot putts.
