So with the weather that we were expected to get today, I came in late. Also I'm probably taking a new job, so I might not be able to make it anymore out there. Also the park is closing at 530 next week. If I can get out i will make next week, but i doubt it.

We need some kind of season wrap up. Maybe a Y>W ace race style? Rob mentioned doing a dinner, beers, apps at BBC. I can't come today, I don't think, but would love to get together to celebrate another season of league at Borderland.

I specifically went to the course to check today, and putt a little. I hit some putts and saw that the park does indeed close at 5:30 now. Maybe we could try to meet earlier for league? I know that is tough for most, what about rolling start, or just play 5-18? I hope I can make whatever gets decided.

Thank you to Rob, Tim, Sandy and anyone else that helped to run league. There were weeks when the only thing keeping me going was the thought of playing league with some great people toward the end of the week. Good competition, good friends, good times.

I agree with Mike.

4:30 start time is pushing it. Even in 3-somes with 3/4 discs each and other random groups on the course, we will be cutting it very close to getting out of the park at 5:30. We don't want to be "those people" the rangers can't stand.

Like Mike said - Thanks to all those that run the league and keep Thursday league alive. Eventhough I rarely make it, your efforts are appreciated

we will do 3 somes tomorrow. I think its a 3-4 disc limit. metal and aces only. Depending on who comes. we definitely will start at 430. i cant get there until then, maybe a little early. but if a bunch of people show up we might be out of luck

Might I suggest not playing for score? Just throw two at the basket and move on. It would go quicker if we are not setting up a putt each hole X3. We might be able to play it out in an hour, but not worth it in my opinion.

Looks like I'll be able to make it tomorrow for the last week of Thursday league for the year.

Let's do this, 4:30 hard start (means we're ready to start at 4:30, not drawing cards at 4:30 so if you want to play, make sure you are there beforehand so that you can get your money in, etc.)

We'll play Y-W for the ace pot. $5 entry fee, top 1/4 in the points win what's in the pot.

We'll do two throws per hole/per player in threesomes for this point breakdown:

• Ace - 5 points
• Chains - 3 points
• All other metal - 1 point

Afterwards, we'll go to Mick Morgan's for some beer and apps courtesy of Thursday Night league ... hope to see you there!

Here's where I chime in with my yearly pitch for ROLLING STARTS

Thursday Night League at Borderland dates back 10+ years (I'd love to know exactly how long?) ... I originally took it over after Matt Stroika, who ran it when I came into disc golf, moved to the North Shore.

Thankfully, Thursday Night League will continue under the capable guidance of Lee Chiang. Lee contacted me earlier today and after some back and forth over text, is clearly eager to breath some new life into league and I'm thrilled that he was willing to step in and take over.

He told me that he'll be starting a new thread in coming days describing everything ... as soon as I finish the grad class that I'm taking on Thursday nights, I look forward to playing again!!

Thanks to Lee Chiang for stepping up to run things. I look forward to whatever twist he puts on it this year.
