This is still very early in the proposal stage(s), but I am working on proposing a course for PRATT FARM in Middleboro followed by a course for Ted Williams Camp in Lakeville. The two prospective courses would only be 5 miles from one another.
The Middleboro Park Dept has approved the Pratt Farm course and now we wait for word from the Middleboro Conservation Commission. More information to come soon. I should be receiving a call back sometime this week and will hopefully meet with the MCC in the next month.
IF this course gets approved it will be designed to be a PRO LEVEL COURSE, one that could be comparable in length to Maple Hill or Nantucket.
The Lakeville course would be a smaller course, but still have spacious 18 hole layout.
Proposal for the Ted Williams Camp to come soon.
I will attempt to set up a GOFUNDME account for the Pratt Farm course IF and WHEN it passes.
Also- I'd like to know how many of you would be available for any number of workdays IF and WHEN this passes?
I don't like to get ahead of myself, but I do like to be prepared for all possible outcomes.
If you are interested in learning more about these courses and their progress and development, or if ou think you can offer something to the creative process, please contact me (Quack) on Facebook or by email (jtquacke@gmail.com)
I will be creating a Facebook page for the Middleboro-Lakeville Disc Golf Club as well as the proposed Pratt Farm Course.
I hope I can get as much help on this as possible!
(Especially someone who is familiar with dealing with Conservation Committees.)

Re: MIDDLEBORO-LAKEVILLE Disc Golf Course(s)!!
In case you haven't heard from me...
The Pratt Farm DGC proposal for the Middleboro Conservation Commission is December 18th, 2014.
I've already spoken to a few folks who are knowledgeable about the Conservation end of things.
I wouldn't mind having a couple of well informed and like minded people to have an intellectual showing and meeting of the minds with the MCC in December.
Again, if you would like to contact me, please email me at the email address I posted above.
If anyone would like to sit and talk shop sometime, let me know when you'd be available.
This is my first time proposing a course, it will only be successful with YOUR help.
No pressure.

If you want some feedback on how it went in Brooklyn, let me know. I'm a conservation committee member in the town and proposed and built the disc golf course there.

SEASONS GREETINGS FROM MIDDLEBOROUGH!
The first meeting with the Middleborough Conservation Commission was this evening and despite me being nervous about speaking to what i thought was going to be a very negative audience, I never once heard the word "No".
I think this is great news, and what's even more fantastic is that they want to hear more about this proposal at the NEXT meeting in January!
Some key points from tonight:
-Bring more materials and maps for next time.
- Look into some other properties in Middleboro.
- the general public has not turned down the idea of a course in town either... but they are not entirely sold on the Pratt Farm location because they're afraid of vandalism.
All in all... things are moving more positively than I expected.
Merry Christmas to all, and to the rest of us Happy Hanukkah!
I'll keep the posts coming.

Re: MIDDLEBORO-LAKEVILLE Disc Golf Course(s)!!
UPDATE!:
2nd proposition for the Middleboro Con Comm to commence (Today) 1/15/15 at 7:00pm in the Middleboro town hall.
If anyone has any hi res pictures of their home courses (Borderland, Burgess, Maple Hill, etc) please email them to me or post them on the Middleboro-Lakeville DGC Facebook page before 6:30pm!!
I'll gladly use anything you've got.
This meeting will cover Images, installation, and initial course layout.
The middleboro Con-Comm is excited about the idea of a course in town, but it's going to take a lot to sell them on this perfect location.
One major struggle this course would have is PARKING. There is a large parking lot 1/4 mile away from the (12 car dirt parking lot) entrance to pratt farm.
As always, my number is (508)612-0202.
My email address is jtquacke@gmail.com
Feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, helpful hints, support, etc.
