2013 Two for One deal!

Post by Matt DeAngelis »

We are running the 2-4-1 special membership offer again this year. This is available for one NEFA member signing up a new member, or two new members signing up. It will start tomorrow and run through the end of January. So find a new member and sign them up to be a part of our great organization!

2013 Two for One Membership Special!

Hi Matt, Happy New Year! I was a NEFA member last year (maybe 2 years ago). Do I qualify for the 2 4 1 deal? I'm a Skylands guy and I didn't rejoin because most of the tourneys were just too far, but the new NEC point system has my attention ... Yar! :pirat:

Aye aye Captain JByrd, I know who ye be.

Unfortunately, you would not be considered a new member, as you were a member at one point. Feel free to find a new player to introduce to the game. A renewal is $20, but for $25 you can bring someone the gift of a new membership. I've been doing this for a couple years now and it's a great use of that extra $5.

Just renewed for another year and bought a guy who has been busting @ss on the new course with me a membership as a small token of my thanks. Win Win.

I like NEFA and find it to be a worthwhile organization to support, If it only did the Special Olympics gig @ Harvard once a year, that would be enough to keep me on. That being said, as my skills improve and I continue to play more tourneys I have found and met some very interesting people that I now consider friends, if it were not for disc golf, I doubt our life paths would have ever intersected. Yeah, I'm talking about you Titan 8-) but there are quite a few others as well. What a collection of characters.
I'd be a lot better if those trees didn't get in the way.

Does NEFA have a corporate membership category for those who might want to offer support but are realistically on a non-playing list or at best in a super-suck division? Would this be an avenue of growth for NEFA to allow for more resources to help expand the sport in several of the directions already mentioned in previous discussions? Obviously this is where I (we, PCC) might fit into NEFA and start another avenue of financial strength for you guys. Just wondering out loud.

SUPPORTIVE MEMBERSHIP

Yes, that should be encouraged. DDGA has one and I believe PDGA has that offer too.

But the supportive membership does not have any voting powers, point earnings, etc. (I think). That's all.

How long does it take to get the # and associated swag. My signature feels incomplete without it and I signed up like 2 weeks ago.

YES! It was voted on last night and approved to take place. I just need to setup the website, but it should be ready for the masses by Christmas!
