This year we will again be supporting, People First – The Food Pantry of Uxbridge.

Danielle and I moved to Uxbridge (population 11,000) a few years ago. I was looking for a way to be involved in the community of this town we really love living in. I found out that there were many families here that struggle just to put food on the table for their families. I was compelled and determined to help!! This year I’m told they are currently assisting 311 people. Of that number 34% of them are children and 11% are Senior Citizens. Alone I can do very little. With the help of our great community of disc golfers I knew WE could make a difference. Together last year, we raised almost $1,100 and 75 pounds of food!!

Just like all of you fellow disc golfers are important to me, this event and the organization is very dear to me. I humbly ask you to please support in any way you can. I know I ask a lot. It’s not easy to give up a night out with your own family in order to donate funds to a cause. Hard times can fall on anybody. I love this community because we always come together to support those in need.

The Event:
Bring your own partner best disc doubles!
Limited to 36 teams
Two Rounds of 18 holes

Cost:
$65 per team for every division
$10 for greens fees
$25 to charity
$30 to all cash payout (minus minimal expenses)
5 items of non perishable food or $10 (per person)

Day of Schedule:
Check in – 7:45 to 8:15AM
Players meeting – 8:20AM
1st round – 8:30AM
FAST TURN BREAK!!!
2nd Round -15 minutes after last card is turned in.
Awards
I tell you how thankful I am for all of you for supporting and we celebrate how great we all are!!
We stay for a couple beers!

Three divisions:
Pro
AM
Mixed

If you play Pro in PDGA and NEFA events then you must play in the Pro division (unless you are in the mixed division). If you have a compelling reason why you feel you should not be in the Pro division please contact me to discuss it. All decisions on individual players will be made by me.

The registration link will be up in a couple days. It was ready but I decided that the cost was too much. There are a lot of great Ice Bowls out there. I wouldn't want a player to have to give up playing in another event because they spent too much money on my event.

I've pretty much decided that there will be no Ice Bowl merchandise given as players packs. I'd have to take more of your money in order to pay for that stuff. While I'm certainly willing to take more of your entry fee for the charity. I will leave that to be your choice from anything you might win rather than giving some people merchandise they don't want. I'll make a final decision on that very soon.

The 5 cans or $10 is per person. As I get closer to the event I will reach out to the Food Pantry to ask is they are in need of certain things. Just try to make it something you would want to eat. Don't be that guy who turns in 5 can't of tomato paste because he can get them for $0.75 a can and that's cheaper than $5.

I know there's a lot of team challenge matches that get in the way. But I can't believe there aren't 32 people left that can play in this event.
