Please review the following Player Meeting Notes. There will not be a formal players meeting. At 8:30, a hole that has both teams assigned present and checked in, will grab their score card (and ctp flag if applicable) and make their way out to the hole. Please let me know if there are any questions.

8-8:30: Player check-in at tourney central (inside the visitor center) Am and women teams get player pack disc. There will also be lunch orders taken at this time.
8:30: Players should head out to their starting holes
8:58: Two Minute warning
9:00: Round 1 start
12:00: Lunch
12:45: Teams head out to their round two starting holes
1:15: Round 2 start
3:30: Awards
4:00: Park closes. We must be out of the park by 4pm.
4:15-6:00: Bog Iron Brewery!

Notes for the players meeting:

1. PDGA rules are in effect, except for the 2-meter rule which is always in effect at Borderland.
2. All out of bounds should be marked on the sign and have a yellow rope/tape to mark the OB line. The exception is a new OB on hole 17 surrounding the perimeter of the marsh area. That has not made it to the signs as of yet.
3. As always, if you have any question on a ruling that the group cannot agree on, take a provisional shot and come and speak with the TD before turning in the score card.

Divisions: $60 Pro/Pro
$40 Am/Am
$40 Women

If you accepted cash at any event last year in a Pro division, NEFA, PDGA, MPT, whatever, you are considered a Pro and cannot play with a partner in Am/Am division.

All AM players get a tourney disc. Pro paid in cash money, all other divisions paid in Borderland Bucks.

Lunch orders will be taken in the morning at check-in by a local pizza place.

The total field is limited to 36 teams. Max number of teams until Feb 14th:

Pro: 20 teams
Am: 12 teams
Women: 4 teams

Add $10 per team for payment/registration day of.

$10 from each team will go towards costs for the insurance. This will avoid any non-member PDGA fee that we would have to charge otherwise.

Hole sponsorships are a steal at $10 per team.

Also, format has been updated. Going with Scotch Doubles again for the first round and Best Shot for round 2. Both rounds on the white course. Scotch doubles is played where both partners drive off the tee. Team selects their shot and plays alternate shot until the hole is complete.

Why two rounds white?

Time is always a concern with this event. Last year was really nice getting everything wrapped up, cleaned, and out of there before the park closed. I don't like forcing the rangers to stay past close because our event ran over. Weather is always a concern this time of year and could be a factor when it comes to how long the rounds take. The white rounds should max take 3 hours to complete in the worst conditions and around 2.5 in the best. Going with a mixed layout for one of the rounds would make it closer to the 3-3.5 hour range. All that said, the layout is subject to change.

I updated the first post to reflect that only AM players will be getting a tourney disc. If a pro wants a disc, they can purchase one at the event. Sam will update with the discs we are getting when that info is available.

I updated the facebook page and went to update the NEFA forum and I must not have saved when I updated the post...hours ago...DERP. Also, someone asked me about the division maximums that are set until Feb 14th. The division max is 20 for Pro, 12 for Am, and 4 for Women. If that max is met for any division prior to Feb 14, teams should still sign up. Once Feb 14th hits, it will go to a first PAID first in off waitlist, regardless of division. Hope that makes sense to everyone.
