I don't think Bland will be THAT busy. It's not as busy as it is in the summer. There are rarely times when you have to wait for groups during the fall-spring months.

Devens is in good shape

Post by Ed Hovestadt »

But wet! Still because it is a hill it is in better shape than courses that are in lower lying areas.

The walk to hole 1 on Devens is probably a big puddle. Hole 5 is probably pretty mushy and will have a small stream running down the fairway after the coming rain. All other holes should be fine, if not a bit squishy due to the melt.

But since it is 5PM, this news probably won't do you any good now!

Ninigret is top notch now, no snow, mud etc. I just hope you don't mind rock rings and "one of a kind" baskets.

Pye Brook is in peak season. The ponds are full, the grass is short, and the auto gates are still closed. Park and walk in -- most of the time you'll have the place to yourself. :smurf:

Central Mass: Worcester area reporting in...2 feet of snow easily.

Did anyone get spared? Did the Crane Hill area get pummeled too?

Hypothetically, where could a player throw today, in NEFAland, and not have to deal with a foot of snow?

Right?!? We got more than 24 with that one storm. It compacted some, but with this last storm on Monday, the snow is once again at the bottom of the cages in the back yard (not drifts either).

New England is buried, more snow expected over the weekend. Winter deflates my balls.
I'd be a lot better if those trees didn't get in the way.

Maple Hill has so much snow on it, it's staggering.
The wind is driving so hard that the drifts are chest deep in spots.

I played Crane Hill last Thursday......the parking lot is plowed out nicely, the tee boxes were all shoveled which was awesome, thanks to whomever shoveled them out......now the bad news, the snow is pretty deep if you get away from the main trails, it's quite a workout......but it was nice to get out and throw
the significance of the game lies in the playing itself

Anybody know the conditions at West Thompson? Thinking about meeting Billy there for a round or two.

How's the snow at Amesbury? I'm driving past there this weekend and would like to throw there if it's only ankle deep.

If anyone is planning on playing at Crane Hill this weekend, be prepared for a lot of water under the snow on the field holes. You will be standing in about 5 inches of it in the fairways.

How about an answer to Mr. Dunne's West T inquiry ?
Also curious about Page.
Ditter posted about Lufbury(sp?) and I am curious about it as well.

Wondering about Pyramids, Hyland, and Maple Hill too.........................

Locking plans in for a weekend round and would like a heads up about conditions if possible to determine where to go.

Fanx in advance, yo.

Page is 4-8" around the course with about half the tees cleared
Panthorn is 3-6" with all tees cleared and really really wet under that snow

things are getting better at Maple Hill rapidly.
I've been told conditions are pretty good on most of the course with the 18th fairway being the exception. It's always wet and will dry up in July, hopefully.
