Terryville High School course

Post by Matt Pipke »

Not sure if anyone is aware, but the high school has a 9 hole set up, tees are natural with ground markers, and baskets are in need of straightening and levelling but the course is there and after school or weekends we are welcomed to play it.

The point is, Terryville rec dept told me that they are thinking of putting an 18 hole public course across the street in the industrial park but since nobody uses the course at the school they dont wan to do it, I think if more people asked about it used it an showed an interest in a public course in Terryville that it is a real possibility.

Anyway I just wanted to mention it, the course is short, it is 9 holes, there are three drives, the rest is short enough for aces and birdies, short fades, etc.. still a fun little course and potential for more.

Been talking with Plymouth parks and rec, and they are scouting possible locations for a couple courses. Not sure what will come out of it, but the current staff there is interested.
