Sucks that you HAVE to be a PDGA member to play in this event
It's a B-tier for Ams...not an A tier. Why the requirement?

Looked to me in the DGU reg link there is an option for non PDGA to pay the extra $10. I didn't go through the whole thing so I may have missed something.

Except the added $40 price tag to renew a pdga membership
I've heard only awesome things about the event - hence the let down when it wouldn't let me continue registration without renewing.

PDGA membership is not required for AMs. I have a call in to DGU to allow AM registration for the B-Tier AM side. Currently not allowing that type of reg. Will be remedied ASAP!

Should be fixed. AMs without PDGA membership can register. It won't require current membership from pros automatically now, but we will monitor to make sure all pros are current.
Thanks!

DISC GOLF AS IT WAS MEANT TO BE...
Yes Chris, you are so right in so many levels.
I was just texting Jeff Spring and telling him how this will most likely be the only tournament this year for me and I wouldn't miss it for anything.
If players are on the fence about this one, you're nuts. This event is done right in so many ways its incredible. You have to see it to believe it.
Did I mention THE FOLIAGE IS USUALLY RIPENING UP TO PERFECTION DURING THIS EVENT?
Last year it was breathtaking.
Hope to see y'all sign up as well and take in what this event has to offer.

Re: 2015 GREEN MTN CHAMP: +$10,000 9/18-20 - A/B Tier
And we're full in just under 30 hours. We've got a waitlist going, and I encourage others to join that list for a few reasons:
1. I am holding 12 spots for the top 50 rated players. If they do not confirm by July 1st, the waitlist will be opened up. I do expect these spots to be filled though.
2. We are hoping to complete the expansion of Fox Run to 18 holes in time for the tournament. This is the design that we've brought Steve Brinster in for. If that happens, the field will be expanded significantly, so make sure you get on the waitlist for that possibility.
3. I have about 15 people drop out of the event in the last 2 weeks last year. I would be surprised if that didn't happen again. Even folks 15 deep on the waitlist should make it into this event.
Thank you to everyone who registered. A few notes on the tourney, with more announcements to come.
- We will be again releasing a beer brewed for the event, courtesy of Fiddlehead Brewing Company who is back on board as a lead sponsor! This year, the brew may be a co-lab with a special guest brewer. Details TBA.
- Music will be booked through a local venue and production company. Should be excellent entertainment for Friday/Sat evenings.
- Thursday will be a Village Fair down in town, about 5 minutes from the Resort. Long Drive, Pro Clinics, A big Farmers market and urban disc golf are all in the works. Definitely worth getting here early for!
I'll keep updating this thread with details on expanding the field and details on the event!

Hey Jeff, I was a little late on the reg this year. I was just curious to how I stand on the waitlist only because I'm debating not going to a good friend's wedding just so I don't miss the amazingness of this event.

Bumpskis. Lol.
Four and a half months seems like an aweful long time to have to wait for this event.
What I wouldn't give to be able to come up to VT on Saturday, grab some SECOND FIDDLE beers from the FIDDLEHEAD Brewing Co. and head over to Smuggs to play some disc golf.
Smuggs. Fiddlehead beers. Lange and Spring.
Does it get any better than that?
Nope.
I'm putting it out there right now:
I'll sponsor the event to get Chris Young and Frothy in. Whatever it takes.
If players in the event have to go missing so they (Young/Frothingham) get in off the waitlist, so be it. Consider it done. Lol.

Dave - No need to commit any felonies...yet. I should have the decision on expanding the field soon. I will post info no later than:
JUNE 1
To all the folks on the wait list - thank you - if and when spots open up, we will send you an invite to register. It is most likely that we open the field for 72 more spots if it expands. We have 54 on the wait list now and you will all get priority. If there are spots after that, we will open for general registration. Thanks!

Re: 2015 GREEN MTN CHAMP: +$10,000 9/18-20 - A/B Tier
Wait list opened up a few days ago & registration is available for all who were wait-listed. 8 spots will open up Monday at 6pm to round off the 216 considering all wait-listed convert to registered. Potentially another grip of spots to be released in the future, bringing the event cap to 288.

What's up? I thought the remaining spots would be opened up at 6pm today. Just found out I'll be able to make it that weekend so I'm ready to pounce... any idea when it will open?
