Sorry for the fakeout Rob. Maybe both of our discs will magically appear in our hands on Saturday, likely not going to happen though

Found a mini that may be sentimental - let me know if you lost your " ... Bag Tag Challenge 2011" marker (inked blurred beyond recognition).

I can't believe that my bright pink Havoc hasn't been found on hole 8. Is it fair to assume that not a lot comes back from Newton Hill?
Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that disc getting bigger?". Then it hits me.

Check the L&F at Pyramids and Maple Hill. Sometimes they go there when nice people find them.

Hey Brad, I believe his name is Rick Miller. How long ago did he tell you that he had discs? His stories change sometimes. I'll leave it at that.

Thought I should share this info here for anyone who's passionate about Newton Hill and on Facebook.

There will be a concerted effort for cleanup this saturday.

last year while we were going over some site plans for the upcoming changes to the park with a city official the convo went something like this... (paraphrasing)

city offficial: rick, do you play disc golf? (knowing that the reason i am a part of this committee was my running leagues and then captain of Team Newton)

rick miller: yeah, i get out there and play when i can

CO: do you have all the discs that he (myself) has?

RM: i have a few at my house.. i find them on the course and use them..

Me: you keep them?

RM: "yeah, i gotta get something outta this" (his words exactly)

Me: you know thats not cool.. thats why ppl put names and phone numbers on them, so you can return them... we have a saying, disc thieves taste like chicken

i didnt want to get too nuts about it with the city official there so i left it for the time being.. i then contacted him to give them to me so i could return them and he blew me off a handful of times

just sayn

That hole eats a lot of discs, usually on the other side though (at least for me)

Lost a purple sparkle Gator with silvery San Francisco stamp hole 18, hit a tree bounced left by the practice basket, and tee pad for hole 1 area. Has "Mergz" on the top and non-working old phone number on bottom - (603) 488-5846

jim and i noticed a guy throw a disc of ODs' and picked it up.. this dude looked like he just got out of golds gym.. chased us up the first fairway and shoved jim to snatch it out of his bag, and tell us he found it and its his.. if you see a guy up there that is carrying a couple discs, stalky with lots of arm tats (a star on his elbow if i remember correctly), buzz cut, about 40 and looks like he works out, approach him with caution but try to befriend him and check out his discs.. it was a baby blue pro katana that he threw on 18.. he said he has "been playing for 30 yrs" (and you're throwing a katana on 18 at newton??)... there are a bunch of disc thieves, especially at newton, so dont expect to get any back here.... and i am not the guy to get my az kicked for $10

That sucks. What sucks more n'that is that even if a karmic person finds mine, it's got a non-working phone number on it. My only hope is that it gets dropped off at Pyramids or Maple Hill. I just ask all the regulars to keep an eye and ear out, 'cause I do not get down there often. As for the sentimental value, it was the disc my son picked out during our last trip to SF and it's his favorite.

Is there a point to posting here anymore? At All?

I lost my 2-ace, teal green lat64 goldline Core on 15. I think a dog walker may have picked it up because it was no where.

FOUND! Thanks, Tim

Yeah, I just chalked up my go to driver at the NHO this past weekend. It's a light blue Champion Monster that is really faded. My name phone number and PDGA number are all on the back. If anyone comes across this, I would be very grateful. I really would like this back. Thanks for looking. I lost it on hole 10, probably well off in the woods to the right heading down the hill (turned it over too much on a RHBH).
