PDGA Maple Hill GOLDS League

Hey yo!

We are excited to host a new league that will cater to the players who just want to bomb shots and play the beast the big boys compete on.

The first week will be Monday, JUNE 1ST and run TEN CONSECUTIVE WEEKS, ending on Monday AUGUST 3RD.
We will be playing the GOLD course each week.
This league will be a PDGA sanctioned league.
There will be one division.
Start time will be 5:30 each week.
Groups will be played in THREESOMES due to daylight.
The price will be worked out but should be comparable to your standard league fee's.

I am going to take the reigns on this one and run the league for Dave. I know that many will be concerned that pyramids runs a very successful league at the same time but it is what it is.

To get better we need to push each other and stop being afraid of the best course in the world

Thanks Keith, I was never going to be able to pull this off without a little help from my TEAM BUFF bretheren.

So here it is.
Many of you asked for a singles, Monday night league at Maple Hill. Now Keith is bringing it to ya.
The golds will be an amazing course to get some PDGA rated rounds on.
There will be optional buy in's that Keith and I are working out.
The game room will be ready for any takers in the disciplines of:
Pool
SkeeBall
Darts
Foosball (Tornado Tournament table Mike Jones is crappy at playing on)
Air Hockey
Bubble Hockey
Big Ass Arcade versions of PAC-Man and Galaga
Demolition Man Pinball
Maybe a 6' wide TV with epic sound system
All this in an AIR CONDITIONED/Heated room
If there has to be a card game, we have a marshall street tournament table created by Rob Tatro for use if need be.
Think ya got ping ping skills, good luck on our tournament style ping pong room and table.

Will the GOLD course league be fun?

After playing the Gold course yesterday w Rio, Hick and Do Work, there was a lot of chatter on the 18th green with a large group of fellas about the upcoming start of this league.
It seems we will have a relatively large turnout for this league.
I spoke to Keith about the idea of finishing in the daylight and it seemed like it might not be a big deal to accomplish, but we both agreed to a sort of rolling start for players that can get there between 5-5:30.
We want to encourage players to show up early and get out on the course in groups to get (and keep) the ball rolling.
The groups will be made by the league TD's.
We are hoping to have groups spaced out some in order to keep things moving on time.

We hope to see you on June 1st for our first Gold League.
Bring some water discs and discs you don't mind losing. It is the GOLDS after all.

I'm putting it out there that Hickson wins with a 60.

Wind is blowing between 12-20 mph with gusts even higher.

We had 14 brave souls show up for week one and Wadz shot the low score with a 63.
Not too shabby. The 63 was rated just under 1000.

If I turn off the wind machine, I'm expecting an even lower number next Monday.

The GOLD #12 Tee and the NEW #15 hole (tee to green) are ready for you suckah's.

I heard a lot of players making 2's and 3's on #15, I've also seen plenty of rhbh pulls that make their way back for the deuce stab.
