This event will be for MA1, though a Divisional Amateur National Challenge will be available for people that don't traditionally play in the MA1 division. This will be an additional buy-in to compete against other players within your normal division, on a national scale. The results will be determined based on DGCR round ratings.

Registration opens March 7th through DGCR. Field size is limited to 54 participants, so sign up early!

From the Competition Handbook regarding the regional qualifiers:

Description: 108 Tournaments with 12 in each of 9 regions around the country. Tournaments are open to all qualifying competitors of any age, skill or gender. Held between April 1 and June 18, 2017. Top 12 finishing competitors qualify for invitations to the respective Regional Championship.

Field: 54 competitors

Format: 2 rounds of 18 holes with all holes played on the same day or each round played on a separate day within a span of 7 days.

Registration and Fees: Next Generation Qualifier Entry: $48; Next Generation National Sidebet Entry: $15; All Next Generation Registration and Entry Fees, including day-of and on-site, through http://www.discgolfscene.com

On-site Usage Fees:

Several qualifier host sites have greens fees, local club per person fees, or park entry fees.
These fees are in addition to the Next Generation Entry fees above and the responsibility of the competitor.
Any on-site usage fees will be noted on the Disc Golf Scene tournament detail page and collected at check-in by the Tournament Director.

Players Package: All Next Generation competitors receive a players package valued at $65;

Divisional Amateur National Challenge (the DANCe): Competitors may elect to join in the Divisional Amateur National Challenge when registering for a qualifier for $15 and selecting a division. Traditional disc golf divisions offered include Advanced, Advanced Women, Advanced Masters, Advanced Grandmasters, Intermediate, Intermediate Women, Recreational, Recreational Women and Juniors. Competitors who compete in more than one qualifier may enter the DANCe when registering, each is treated as a separate entry into the DANCe. All results will be ranked by average DGCR RoundRating on a national basis, by division, using the competitor’s overall place of finish to break ties. Within two weeks after the last qualifier, full ranked results and a 100% value prize payout to the top 25% will be posted at nextgendiscgolf.com with instructions for winners to collect their prizes. Winners receive credit equal to their winnings at discgolfcenter.com. Scale will be based on the lowest payout amount equaling $15.

Results and Ties: All ties for 1st and 12th place will be broken by sudden death play or by any related disc golf skill event determined by the Tournament Director, for the purpose of clearly awarding a winner and 12 qualifiers for invitations. All tournament results are intended to be posted within 24 hours of the event.

Prizes: The first place finisher receives a trophy, an invitation to and their entry fee paid to the respective Regional Championship. In the event the first place finisher declines the invitation, the invitation will be offered to the next qualifiying competitor and the paid entry fee will be forfeited.

Invitations to Regional Championships: The top 12 finishing competitors will be e-mailed invitations with instructions within 7 days of the qualifier; Unless otherwise noted, invitees have 3 weeks from the invitation date to register. All invitations expire after 3 weeks and are considered forfeited with the competitor removed from the invitation list at http://www.discgolfscene.com. Forfeited or declined invitations will be offered to the next finishing competitor in the respective qualifier until all 12 available invitations are accepted by registering for the tournament at http://www.discgolfscene.com. Should a competitor register for a Regional Championship after their invitation expired, Next Generation Disc Golf reserves the right to issue a refund. In the event timing does not allow a 3 week consideration, Next Generation staff reserves the right to shorten the consideration time or offer multiple invitations for individual spots on a first-come, first-serve basis

Some more details have been posted to the next gen website. Winner from each qualifier gets a paid spot at the regional championships! Top 12 get the invite.

BUMP

Layout will be White to Blue, both rounds on Saturday. There will be lunch orders taken in the morning by Cousin's Pizza. As always, the Borderland club store will have a bunch of plastic available for your day of needs.
