Senior Games Tourney, Crane Hill, Sunday, June 11!
FIRST RESPONSE ALERT!! Once again, Crane Hill will be host to a Massachusetts Senior Games competition, Sunday, June 11, 2017. Age groups are in increments of 5 years, starting at 40. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded in each age group. Imagine standing victoriously atop our podium, what remains of the chip mound at Hole 1, to the stirring anthem of "They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha! Ha!", as a medal is hung around YOUR neck...
There will be two rounds with a players' meeting starting at 9:00; tee-off around 9:15. Sign up link to be posted soon. Only 30 bucks or so for the day, so good for a cheap date.
SENIORS!! You've got several months to REV UP THOSE JOINTS! with your joint medications. Then it's "Gentle Persons, start your engines!" (clunk, clunk, clunk..) for a fun day of slow turnovers, and half-hukked hyzers.
This is a good way to introduce disc golf in a friendly, down key way to an older population, so spread the word and see you there-- no lame excuses!

Does one have to play in the age bracket they are eligible? Or could one play down to a "younger" division.

There's still time to sign up-- in fact, right about to tee off time. It's going to be hot and beautiful and freshly mowed- Crane Hill at its best! Looking froward to seeing all comers--

Re: Senior Games Tourney, Crane Hill, Sunday, June 11!
Great day at Crane Hill for the MA Senior Games tourney: Everybody medalled, and the First Alert response system was not activated!
Results: (We played the longs first round, the shorts, second)
AGE: 50-54 John Rodenhizer 79 55 134 Gold
55-59 Paul Sullivan 64 56 120 Gold
Will Plein 67 63 130 Silver
60-64 Rick Williams 71 60 131 Gold
Ken Wagner 69 66 135 Silver
65-69 Davis Johnson 60 59 119 Gold
Steve Merrill 67 55 122 Silver
Thanks to all for making this irreverent, fun and smooth running, especially to my wife, Joanie Simmons, Senior Games Board of Directors. When I come across as organized, it's really her!
