Thanks to everyone that came out to enjoy the 10th Annual Gnomes Challenge!

We had 68 players enjoy a great day on the course, despite an hour rain delay, we had some great weather and some even better shots. Chris Gagne who has attended and supported this event for many years hit the only ace of the day which got him $190 plus another $150ish from a "day of big boy/girl" acepot! Chris also won his division AND a CTP!! His good karma paid off huge as he played well and got rewarded in return. He graciously made a donation to the GMDGC after the event and his donation will go directly to supporting the new public/free to play course at Beckley Hill in Barre, which should be complete near the end of this year.

The course looked fantastic and we all dearly missed the Gnome Master, Peter Flaherty, as he was away for a family event. But, all division winners took home one of his trophies and we all gave him a BIG hand for all his efforts! Round 1 low score was shot by Mike Habets with a -10 (44), who went on to win the MPO field by 2 strokes. Sayer Dwinell-Yardley shot the 2nd rd low score of 43, which bumped him up to 4th place and the first Pro payout of his career! The only playoff of the day was in the Pro Grandmaster field, where Cary Powell took the win over Marcos Miller by canning a big putt in overtime. In the Advanced Am divisions, Christy Betit took the womens side by 4 strokes and Tom Shanley got his 1st Adv win on the mens side! Look for both Tom Shanley and Clayton Davis to be testing the Pro ranks at Black Falls! In the Intermediate divisions, Kristy Tabor handily won her division and Brett Bascom took down a 1 stroke win in an enormous Am2 division. John Valkenberg played his first ever tournament and played very well to take down the Junior division!
