Low down on astroturf ?
Looking for some astroturf , from what I can figure out so far it appears to be astronomically expensive , any advice on the subject would be greatly helpful , any ideas out there?

Strap on the cleets!!!!!
I am doing what I can about some pretty sloppy tee boxes right now , with the precipitation and lack of of below freezing temperatures it has been a challenge , in the proscess of trying to acquire a bunch of old astro turf, the property owner is going to get some material to help me out as well . In other news the course will be open all winter this season and being the mild conditions , the progress of the new holes is far ahead of expectation . Thanks for the response Guy ,come on down !!!!!"

I raked out and added blue stone dust to most of the tees yesterday ,looking pretty good going into the frost. Anyone out there got a line on some astro turf ,? In bulk and for free would be cool.

Just about melted!!!!!
Hola sports fans!!!! With the mild conditions so far this winter I have been able to put together the new holes fairly well , the tees are maked and the sinage in place for navigation , the holes are well playable now with the finishing touches soon to come. We had alot of snow standing around but by this weekend it will be gone again , blue stone working great on the tees as well

Re: Low down on astroturf ?
Hey Norm,
It might take a little leg work but usually ANY school (college or prep) that is "upgrading" their fields - that are turf - will gladly allow you to 'take some of it off their hands' as it lessens their discarding (of it) cost. You then just take the less worn out pieces (not from the field's middle...usually the most worn out) and viola! You might have to be "johnny-on-the-spot" (to find such a school swapping out turf) but when you do you'll have enough for "just a few tees".
