The college's website says there's TWO eighteen hole courses on the campus- anyone have any info on these? (i.e. Is there a map anywhere, where's the 1st hole on each one, are there 18 baskets, or just targets?)
thanks.

Could not find much...but...found this on their site.
Disc Golf Course
Spread out across our 57 acres of property are two, 18 "hole" disc golf courses, which are free and open to the public. The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc. Score is determined by counting the total number of throws, the lowest score determines the winner. The player is provided with a teeing area from which to begin each hole and a target to complete the hole. Just like "real" golf, but cheaper!

it's been FOREVER since ive played springfield, but last I knew there had been one "course" installed and another one that kinda-sorta existed but wasn't real well known. The main course started on the back right corner of the main building when you pull into the camp area, throwing down a road to a marked tree/pole. Everything was object back then and I'm sure it probably still is. We tried playing the "other" course once, but it wasnt as well marked and we were only able to find signs every once in a blue moon so we mostly made it up as we went.
I do remember that we were up there in the summer once and that was less than ideal. The counselors let us play even tho we werent supposed to be there apparently (which makes sense, they try and keep the camp safe for the campers and not let random people usually just wander around) and many of the holes we had to skip since there were campers everywhere taking up the fairways.

I went to school there and frequented East Campus as a recreation major. There are two courses there you just need to know where to look for the second. There is no score card or map that I know of and all the targets are trees with number signs on them. I played there with just a roc. Short holes down wooded paths.

I helped design the second course which transverses much of the east side of East Campus, beginning in the ravine just to the east of the Pueblo. The last four or five holes of the course are longer variations of some of the back nine holes of the original course. All the targets on the new course are (or were) marked with painted boards with numbers on them (they're tree targets, just like with the original course. ) Tees are harder to find-- they're marked with red or orange surveyers's tape. We did some clearing where needed on a number of the fairways a little over a year ago. The new course is quite tight, and longer and much more challenging than the old one with some good elevation changes. On several holes you can really rip off a drive.
Best if anyone wants to learn the new course would be for a guided tour-- would be glad to provide.
