So uh, How much ya bench??
In loving memory of Chris Farley's and Emilio Estevez steroid induced talkshow "How Much Ya Bench" on SNL, everyone post the best bragging rights moments you've had in disc golf. This may include, but not limited to: aces, trick shots, longest drives, wins, most lost discs per round, most found discs per round, thickest tree cut in half by disc, most OB's per hole, memorable moments, etc.
I got to thinking about it after a practice round at the Orange community center course. I had three shots in a row that hit the basket or the chains on hole two at somewhere near 300 ft on the drive. I still can't seem to get an ace, but that was cool as hell.

@ dragon field in auburn maine, hole 11 off to the left of the tee there is trees that go almost all the way down to the basket. and off to the right 60 feet from the basket there is a small pond controlled my frogs and turtles, i threw quite possibly my longest drive to date (lol no more then 260 feet sad isnt it ?) sure enough my trusty beast goes for the nasty hyzer that it is known to me, into the trees to not be seen again for a week. so i make a drop go to throw and slip my lovely buzzz goes right into the pond. i use the community stick to poke around and nothing. so as the king frog is starring at me i take off my new balence's and my socks and go in water is only up to my knees untill i step fully down into the mucky bottom and sure enough i sink anouther 6 inches. i pulled out not only my disc but 3 others i believe and those were put into the proshop.
(not much of a story sorry)

Great achievement #1: Hole 18 on the Beauty @ Enman Field - way back when the hole was something like 400 ft + down the runway. Hit pin with a Valk.
Great achievement #2: NEFA Finals, match play against Daniel Marcus. At Buffumville Dam, the really long hole on the back 9 (hole 21??). I got a DEUCE on a long second shot that skipped in - it was my only point against Daniel. But we went to hole 18 to decide it!

Thats a sick duece, did you get your name on the post? Should have if not
He grew so old, he decomposed
I had a dreadful experience at the WVO last year or the year before on "Circles" (Hole 4 at the Woodshed - 350'? heavily wooded slowly curling right turn hole on the edge of hill - which runs down to a road that parallels the left side of the tight fairway maybe 50-100' of the fairway. Road is OB, hence the name of the hole "circles.")
I throw a nice long flick maybe 220, followed by another perfect flick that holds the curl of the fairway and skips right to the basket. It hits the pole and rolls all the way down the hill to the left OB. Mary Redheart is spotting on the hole and informs me of my bad luck w/ the post skip and subsequent roll.
I'm left with a low ceiling uphill shot prob 60' out with the OB right behind me. I throw a grenade which again catches an edge under the basket and rolls right back down the hill to me, past me and OB again. I then try a tomahawk thru a small gap in the ceiling to at least get close enough for a putt. This time it hits the base of a tree instead of flopping on its top and settling, and again rolls down the hill to me OB. I finally decide to throw two 25' layups and can the 10' putt for my triple circle 10 (which should have been a drop-in birdie 3.)

Best........skipped aced hole 1 at Wick while practicing last year
Worst.....this year during singles match play at a team challenge at West Thompson I had the worst luck in my short career. Conditions were slick hard packed snow in most areas. Threw a roadrunner off hole 7 (longish any) which turned right for days and appeared to be a nice shot. After walking off the box, I turned around to see my disc rolling and sliding back towards me until it came to rest 100 feet left of the tee box and 50 feet backwards. I then proceed to throw a low flick with a max that traveled close to 300 feet into a headwind and then rolled 275 feet back toward me. third shot = same result! Not making this up. takes another 4 shots to get close before I pick up and lose the hole.......the kicker is that in the next round I do not learn from my mistake and throw the same drive which eventually ends up in the same place.

My most memorable round has got to be at the 1985 World Seniors in Rochester, NY.
Dan "Stork" Roddick (the only guy I know of who's been tossing a disc longer than I) was in my group and we tussled back and forth for 18 holes.
In the end, he shot a 10-under 44, and I carded an 11-under 43.
(Of course, it helped to be only 38 back then!)

Hole #15 Wickham
Threw a great first shot, maybe 7 feet in front of the pin. Went to make what should have been an easy putt, hit the basket and rolled all the way back down about 10 feet in front of the tee. Threw another decent shot up towards the basket, this time I was about 15 feet in front of the basket to the left, threw up my putt...hit the basket again and this time rolled all the way back down to the tee. Took out my Firebird and tried to side arm it up to the left...it went way high and got stuck about 35 feet up in a tree. Well after throwing every rock I could find at it my buddy finally knocked it down. BAD HOLE

Until my first-ever ace last week, this had been my most favorite shot:
Back in my early learning days, I used to play on a course in Deerfield Beach, FL (near Ft. Lauderdale). On one hole, the preferred flight path is to the left of a pretty huge clump of dense mangroves/palm trees, red ant infested shrubbery. You can go right, but it is the longer route since the basket is tucked in to the left of the clump and you'd have to go all the way around the back way.
My lousy drive and approach shot ended up to the right of the clump, about 30 ft out. On a whim (or maybe it was just newbie ignorance) I chucked my third shot over the clump of trees, not really knowing where the basket was. Ka-ching - nothing but chains! Blind par!
Worst: The lowpoint of my career was at the first or second MSDGC. After a great R1 at Pyramids, I imploded in R2. Everything went wrong. I let one guy in our group get to me, I was hot and grumpy, and I absolutely hated life. I was in a very bad place that I had never been before. I was weird.
Thankfully, another guy in our group that I had just met helped me get back on track, stay positive, and reminded me that it was just a friggin' game. Since then, Jim Bobka and I have become good friends and if I'm ever stinking up a round I think back to that day to help myself refocus. So I guess it was a good thing after all. Awwww....
