NASA vs Tolland

I have no clue as to PDGA ratings or Nefa standings; however, we love to have fun, drink well and eat copious amounts of food

Jason has confirmed that everything is a go for us on Saturday, Jan. 12th. Don't forget to bring greens fees.

- 9:30 start time sound good with everyone?

Sounds like we should get along nicely. 9:30 is cool w/ me. Tolland guys want to meet at the tolland exit off 84 again? I think that looked good. Let's just tell DMack to meet there 1/2 hour before everyone else. 8-)

It's about an hour drive -- so I'd say 6am should give the Tolland crew plenty of time to pound a few 30 packs, start a fire, setup the grill, and clear any sand left on the (dry?) tees. Thanks.

Seriously, should be a good time. Here's to another fun day at Jason's -- and a big thanks to Jason, Kelly, and the Pyramids crew for having us.

Great day of DG at Jason's pad. Couldn't have asked for better weather. Team NASA takes it down 14-3. We had 8 v 8 in the first round and 9 vs 9 in the second (4 dubz matches and 1 singles cali match).

First round:
NASA- 7 pts
TOLLAND- 1 pt

Second round:
NASA- 7 pts (1 point cali)
TOLLAND- 2 pts

I'm missing a couple of scorecards from the first round if anyone has them? Despite the final results, the competition was very tight all day. Great to put more faces with names. Fun day all around capped off with a Patriots victory that night.

Sorry, allow me to revise my summation of the Tolland/NASA challenge:

It was stone cold competition. Despite many attempted handshakes, none were accepted. Smiling was strongly discouraged and usually followed up by a swift smack to the face.

Several brawls broke out as a result of attempted displays of camaraderie. Food was comprised of hard, moldy bread and tap water. We (NASA) penalized team Tolland 10 strokes because one of their members was late...he wasn't playing in the first round, but we said "(bleep) it, next time, be on time (bleep)head!!"

Much blood was spilt, some bones broken and any semblance of pride or enjoyment was immediately crushed and summarily punished.

Team NASA collectively mooned the competition as the day drew to a close, then we did donuts on our way out of course with a final:

"until next time you (bleepin) losers!!"

I think we should hold this standard for all future challenge matches. It's not about fun, it's about cold, hard, relentless competition and domination.

Thanks NASA for the outstanding Grub on sat. You saved me the Hot Dog Annie's Trip. Props to Jim Willis and Chad, Mourad and I had a blast playing you guys in doubles. A match decided by one shot on the airport hole. 56 - 55. Good luck the rest of the way NASA and thanks again for the food (whoever made the chicken salad I want the recipee). Out.

Props to Jason + Kelley for letting us play all day, perfect setting.

Temp was nice, conditions excellent!
From what I heard and experienced , very tight matches
that went to the wire in most cases....

Someone left a grilled and charred forearm of what appeared to be remnants from the body of a NASSA disc golf window in my cooler, for yes, being that late guy. I mean I know NASSA took their Bar-B's seriously, but I didn't think they'd actually have the gall and to cook up an ACTUAL Barbie :smurfin:

A further note to the bitter competition was that Tolland forcibly complained about rampant NASSA steroid usage, which they vehemently denied - ok we may not have sufficient proof there, but we did find an obscure vial that contained minced up human placenta after it fell and dribbled out of Mike Andrews's bag :shock:

. We theorize it was used to coat certain discs and enhance their ability to grab chains and give them some kind of dark basket seeking voodo-chi mojo. More proof of their blatant alteration of the game was the odd spring-like weather they were able to mysteriously conjure up for the rounds that day. We're now actively appealing to the NEFA board because we now accuse NASSA of being a bunch of manipulative witches and warlocks, simply because they hail from THAT area (North And South Shore). We're deciding how to best prove this, but I can say it certainly involves dunking in the icy muck of hole #5.

Who was it that brought the absinthe again? That guy's ok, he doesn't have to be dunked

I think the classic test is to hold them under water for 10 minutes. If they are infact Warlocks (interesting I remember team NASA members throwing Warlocks) they will survive, then we can convict them of cheating and move on in the league.

If they drown we will know for sure they did not cheat and we can award them the victory.
