I hope so, Jim!

Played a quick round at Borderland after work yesterday and conditions were great! I know there was more snow on the ground up in Athol but I hope the continued warmth and today/Fridays rain clears it all up.

Make sure you bring spraypaint to establish a tee area. I've played there a bunch of times and we usually just decide among the group where to tee off from. Because there are uneven areas right next to the tee signs, we've played from in front of the signs and even slightly off to the sides. I say improvise, be flexible about tee shot areas and have fun. Don't penalize yourself by teeing off right where the tee signs are. Pick a flat area, throw bombs and make deuces.
Dubs should be fun to play there...

That is actually great news for me Scott. Keep the count at 6. Looks like I have to back out. Sorry.

Arty backing out huh?

I'm headind down to Tully Saturday to try to establish some tee boxes. I think I'm going to grab some red flags for boxes.

Update

Boxes are in rough shape. There is about 5 to 6 inches of snow in some spots. I recommed two pairs of footware.

Results.... buff won
First round was 5-1
Second round was 3-0
I think that makes the finals scores 11-1
Great day all in all. Tully was looking nice and it is gonna be sweet to play there for the finals. Thanks to the buff guys for coming out, Dave "this thing is an antique" Boliver for bringing the grill and cooking, and to my team.
Gags, hows that hand feeling man??? I think you left 2-3 discs on your last round and Jobo has an aviar of yours with John Tserpes name on it.

Not a bad course at all. A couple holes still need a few trees taken out and some real tee boxes would make this place pretty nice. A good mix of hole distances an shots are available. I look forward to going back. Nice work up there so far!!

As for my competitors, it was great to play the first round with some guys I knew but had not seen in forever. Scott and Andy,..good times as always!

2nd round John Borelli and Luke put up a good fight against me and Jeff C. I could hear the wind come out of the sails with that putt I hit from my knees around the tree for a duece as you guys were parked. John, I promise to get the Devens this year. Luke,..nice to meet you.

Gags, take care of that hand and I hope you learned a valuable lesson. Don't forget you are on a team,..that team counts on you.

Nice to meet you as well, Gary and the rest of you Buffumville guys too! You definitely sealed the deal in our doubles match with that putt on 17 (if your putt down the hill on hole 7 or 8 didn't). It was a mix of pleasure and pain to watch! haha

Great to meet most of the guys from Devens. Good day all around. Chris I hope your finger is alright, pretty cool looking blood-dye discs.

Never mind about his finger. How is the tee sign or whatever he hit holding up? :)

yea not my best performance. Rusty and mentally not into it round one. THanks to Captain Yak for allowing me the chance to come back in round two. Glad I could hook Devens up. John made some solid shots as well. I did play like toilet though. Distracted to say the least, but I guess I should be able to overcome that.
The fun fact of the day: I had the unique distinction of being the only human being on earth to participate in and experience two rounds on that day with Gags. Talk about an adventure. Did he make it home??? Man, that was interesting.
See it. Be it.
