Private Disc Golf Courses

Post by Scott Selders »

Has anyone played at a private course before? What was the course like? How many Baskets? etc. I've been building/creating a Disc Golf Course on my family's 15 acre property for the past 2 months. I have many holes short-long. I have 4 baskets, and plan on purchasing at least 7 more. I've heard of a couple private courses, but have yet to hear feedback. Any opinions on playing private courses? Thanks Scott

Hey Scott I just built one on my in laws ranch in Montana. Had to create 16 holes out of 9 baskets. One thing to keep in mind: Try to make it as maintenance-free as possible. Having small numbers of people to help with the ongoing work, coupled with small numbers of golfers tromping down the weeds, brush, etc. make sure it's not so much work that you never get to play!
