TEAM FINALS FOOD SPONSOR

Post by Gary Cyr »

Sorry for the short notice on this but it's been in the works for a while. AS they say, good things come to those who wait. We've been able to acquire a food sponsor for some items. We don't have a complete spread but here is what we do have

80 Burgers
75 Hot dogs
8 Veggie Burgers
American Cheese
Buns enough to cover all the Hamburgers and Dogs.
Charcoal.

We need people to bring the sides (Chips and things). We need condiments. Everybody is welcome to eat the sponsored food.

Again, very sorry for the short notice, but please spread the word. And, post here if you can bring any of the stuff we still need.

Screw it, Ill spill the beans Gary, it's alright.

Team Burgess donated most of it's winnings from the regular season for food Gary bought for finals.

Gary does deserve some of the credit though, he did all the work attaining the food!

Enjoy! and see you all Sunday!

Well we all know Solbo is an alcoholic, so his mind naturally gravitates towards beer. Then we figured out a keg is basically worthless because it works out to less than 2 beers per person, and later found out kegs aren't even allowed. Then food, then cases of beer (again not enough) back to F*CK it, just food!

Now just remember to take it easy on us on the course!

You Mr. Gordon, have the same tastes in things as I do apparentely. Home brewed 90 minute IPA. (I love all IPA's hoppier the better). And pulled pork is just about the best meat that an animal can provide, on earth.

I will be sampling that IPA to see if it's better than the (2) I have recently tried that were homebrewed by a couple guys I work with, what set of spices and stuff did you use, if you dont mind me asking.

Solbo...I brew from scratch. Its a Munton's british pale ale malt hopped with Chinook, Kent Goldings, and Tettnanger. It has over 7 oz of hops, which is alot considering traditional recipes call for 2-3 oz's. Obviously boiled for 90 minutes to get it ripe and bitter. The pulled pork is smoked over Hickory logs for 7-8 hrs then grilled for 2 more at 220 degrees. Thats my project for tomorrow....

Winnings? Did I miss some cash changing hands during the regular season or is my memory that bad?

Either way, rock on for the grub donation.

Regular season winners get their money back, since we feel like we didn't actually win because we weren't able to beat, I mean play, Wickham we felt like this would be the right thing to do.

BIG SHOUT OUT to Team Burges for the generous food donation! (mmmmmmm veggie burgers)

I'll bring some extra condiments/beer/and a veggie dish or two.

Sounds like it's going to be a great ending to our 3rd season.
