That article rocks. Picked up a couple of the rags over the weekend. Pretty sweet representation of disc golf. Keep up the good work fellas. PS, the course looks sweet, can't wait to play it.

This article about Northampton DG is one of the most detailed and eloquently written disc golf articles i have ever read.

Although after reading the article I spend the rest of the day trying to find out about the alleged course in Turners Falls

The only reference to it on the web is this article... so I concluded that it might be a mistaken reference to Keema's course?

The deal is we were asked to move the basket out of the field. I consider the current location half baked.

The long range plan is to develope alternate holes 13 and 14 for when the fields are in hay. It's really hard for us to even consider eliminating current 13 and 14, so we aren't.

Hole 13 needs work for sure.

Bucket and I worked on #13 green and approach so that you can see the basket from the tee now, and in general it is a lot better. Hopefully, mowing will happen soon.

Played the course today, and broke 60 for the first time in 2 years. What's the par, so I might get bragging rights on discgolfscene?

Par? You want par? I'm old school and everything is a par 3, even though I've never yet 3'd hole #13.

Massive work to the course this weekend many thanks to Bucket, the freaking GOD of work weekends with his renting and relentlessly BUZZcutting most of the course on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with a Billy Goat/mini brush hog; Andy who brought his mower for sweet grooming; Juano , Kiki and Joe for doing a lot of good handwork on #8 and elsewhere; myself and Harpo with whacker blades humming on as many roses as we could shred.

Course is looking good!

Noho

Post by chris gagne »

Franch, the Walkers, Tomaaay and I played NoHo today. The course looked great, unbelievable upkeep. Bummed to see a dead fox on 9. Looking forward to next Sun. Issac, I'll have your disc.

Work Day Saturday December 5

We'll be mainly hauling and spreading wood Chips on Holes 3, 5, 8, 11, 15, 16, 17. This is a good time if you enjoy getting a serious work out, or if you just enjoy watching a nice hole get a makeover before your very eyes.

Bring gloves and a shovel, rake and/or wheelbarrow, and you will be rewarded with a most excellent work day experience.

Northampton just keeps getting better.

9:00 AM, we'll play a round afterwards, and maybe we'll call it league depending on what people feel like.

Juano and I want to be there but both of us have other obligations. Sorry! Maybe you can post some of the things you want done and we can maybe work on Sunday?

Also, Dec. 13 is the multi-team challenge at W. Thompson. Can you guys pm me or Juano to let us know if you're in?

Long Hole One Stolen

Post by Jason Johnson »

Well after several years of uneventful criminal activity at the course, long hole one, which was just installed a month or so ago was punked over the weekend, or perhaps as early as yesterday. So as fruitless as this may be I would ask that everyone be on the lookout for a rather unique basket, yellow powder coating on the top and basket, a brand new galvanized steel pole, a collar on the bottom, or pieces thereof. There is a reward for information leading to the return of this basket to the course, it was one of the very first purchased 8 years ago to begin this course, it has sentimental value.

This is such bad karma for whoever did this. If its not returned and I happen to find out who is responsible then I have a special training session set up for you. Better practice up on your Ju Jitsu, and figure out how your going to throw with your other arm because the one you throw with now is coming out of its socket.

Also, said "borrowed" basket has an extra set of chains with a custom double ring made of hand-bent steel rod and duct tape. Unmistakable.

If the basket is returned you may end-up getting some of that karma back, or not, given the pain and suffering you have inflicted on JJ and myself and others too numerous to name.
