Seriously? What is it with you and so many people having a problem with a business making money? You honestly think that only a handful of golfers will go to Maple on the day of your Finals? This is a course that is on the edge of a city of almost 800,000 people!

There is only one place that will benefit from Maple being closed that day for a cost of $400. That's Pyramids! I guarantee you if that is a nice day,..Pyramids will be mobbed!

Soon as you go to work for free, maybe Maple will to.

Dmack.
Jasons disc inventory is deeper than anywhere available in the northeastern U.S. Thats a great call. They got it all
Thanks buddy
I'm looking forward to seeing EVERYONE, including Kelly and Dan

It's just real nice knowing we are going to have the pool of talent we will have playing the course next weekend. We build it to challenge even the best. Next week should be a great representation of scores on the two layouts you choose. We are anxious to see how the players perform.

There are certain things I'd like to help with. Can you imagine that? I want to help with something we are not going to make big coin from. Yeah I want to help despite being portrayed as money hungry grubby douche bag, by people I respected and enjoyed their company. Yeah I wanna help,to help. Go ahead Dmack, light me up. Thanks in advance, pal 8-)

We are croc pot friendly. We have electricty. Someone is gonna want to bring paper plates, paper towels, cups, wipes, flatwear.

Do you want to have a pizza place show up in the morning to take orders that will be delivered for lunch break?? They have you pay when you order.

Catering?
Beer situation?

One house rule that gets you in bad trouble when broken is: NO GLASS BOTTLES ON THE COURSE
You get asked to leave if you can't respect that rule. Even if you forget. I already know it stinks.
But, you can have glass bottles in the club house and in the parking lot, just NOT ON THE COURSE.

Keep me in the loop with what y'all need.

Nice post Gary.

Every time I hear people whining about paying $$ to play it pisses me off.
If you really can't pay 4 bucks to spend an entire day doing the thing you love at the best facility for it in New England then your priorities are way out of whack. Maybe you should divert your energy from trying to get good at throwing a frisbee and put your it towards figuring out how to make $4.
Seriously what other fun activity can you do for an entire day at a premiere facility for $4?
$20?
$50?
Where's the emoticon of the guy smashing his head against the wall.

Stay in your own pool Book. JFC I'm entitled to my own opinion. I think $400 is too much. Many people don't...done.

Awe Dave.....I would never light you up man, you're the best. You're on my all-time top 3 favorite people in TC history leaderboard! 8-) We all look forward to playing at MH and I appreciate you. I said I didn't have a problem with you guys charging money, it's a business. But I didn't think it was fair the way everyone was bashing Kelly, right or wrong I could see where he was coming from. I wanted to offer my opinion that even if the fees were waved, overall you would still make more money than on a regular day, just by having 80+ hardcores at the location. I don't know if that's true but I'd bet it is. Either way it doesn't matter, as everyone has already stated, paying 10 bucks for something as fun as an entire day at the best course around isn't a bad bargain.

The problem is that the date and location are already all set and ready to go, so people don't really have anything left to b!tch about. And what's a TC forums without pissing and moaning? Fight the urge!!! :P

So - I have a suggestion for how to spend the $800

Proposal:
We take $200.00 of the pot and spend it on food. Dave's idea of having a pizza place come out for orders in the morning probably would not work as the sole provider of food for everyone. Figure 80 people roughly - Say we are 4 people per large pie that's 80/4 or 20 pies at roughly $15 per pie we would be at $300. But if we bought 13 pies $195 and had teams bring some supplemental foods and drink, then we have a party.

Next we take another $200 and make 8 - $25 CTP's 4 for the singles round and 4 for the dubz

Last we take $400 and split it amongst the 3 top teams to come out of finals
1st place $200
2nd place $125
3rd place $75

Like I said I will bring a bunch of beer (glass sorry) for ONLY the clubhouse
I bet my dubz partner will bring a log of some Willimantic brewery fresh ale
If others bring food (I like the crockpot idea) then we have a feast.
Does this work ??
Other suggestions ?

Dude, I like your thinking.

Google Northeast Pizza in Leicester. I just looked at the menu and 2 Lg 1 topping pizza's for $15. Not bad, but not exactly Pizzeria Regina in the North End of Beantown
I like the stuff, but I'm kinda chunky. We've used them for years now and they always do us right.

I'm thinking of the place for supplemental food, apps etc. The pulled pork sounds like a bomb diggity idea. There aint' nothin' like dudes trying to out-chef each other.

The capn's should dial it in and emphasize phun 8-)

Sounds like a hell of a plan, Les.

Have we decided on layout yet? White singles and Gold doubles? That’d be my vote.

Certainly better than Toothy's mirage of a good idea:
$ 500 for 1st
$ 50 for hot singles round
$ 100 for hot dubz round
$ 150 for ctps

A little late to the discussion eh? Meh, a buncha hatin' anyway. I've had my fill for the year I think geez...

Les, that idea sounds good man. Good thinkin'.

Whether or not it gets broken down exactly like that or not I think that's definitely the way to do it.

I know that Crane will be good for some supplements, whether it be food or beer we'll be on it.

I'm about to ask this in the Cap's Forum too but I haven't been able to find the rules on women for Finals. Is it top 10 singles score plus (in our case) Katie's single score as well. Or?

Anyone know the rules on that? I gotta check it out..

If you have uneven numbers for doubles, will that single person play straight up score or would they get Cali?
