Hey Sean,

It would be great to see you and play a round together, but feel free to stay home if you are worried about the weather. Believe me, I'm sure I've played in worse than it will be tomorrow.

I'm planning on wearing my Winter Warriors shirt just to remind myself what real winter golf is.

Marco, I agree with you, But despite the weather I had a blast today. Fun, competitive matches today with Franchi, Rob, and Arty. Big Thanks to Jason Southwick as well! First time I have played the new holes and loved them. I can't wait to come back ... on a drier day!

I think results to follow... We are trying to track them down on our end.

Front right corner of the truck has seen better days. Right fender, hood, bumper, popped the tire, etc etc. Hit an icy patch downhill towards 122 and could do nothing but hold on and wait for the hit. The pole kept me from going over the embankment though, so I'm grateful I didn't tip over right. Worse part was both airbags deployed and I had to open every window just to breathe. Dust everywhere. Gave me a bloody nose to boot. Nice safety device.

EMT told me I wasn't alone; I was one of 7 accidents that morning, approx. all at the same time, all in Barre.

So much for getting there early for practice.

thank you guys. Good news is I've got my father in-law's truck until they head back to FLA late this weekend, so I've got transportation. If you've got family, everything else doesn't matter much and you can get through most troubles. Now to keep from banging my head off the wall. All day.

JimBo glad you are okay and sorry for being so abrupt with you on the phone yesterday. We had to head out and start our match, which took a very long time to play. Sorry to you too Titan for the long delays. Both Franch and I had very tough battles in our singles matches against Pete V. and T.Fish. Seriously mean it when I say either one of those outcomes could have gone the other way. There were spit outs and rollaways that cost each us dearly. It would really be criminal of me not to congratulate Tom on a very well played match that I was lucky enough to come out on top. It was a see-saw battle the entire round and if it wasn’t for an unfortunate rollaway on the airplane hole and a spit back chain out for him on 14 the match certainly would have been his. Truly one those pairings that it was a shame to see someone lose. Great playing with you and Pete that round. Also had a lot of fun in the second round playing with Gags against John and Mike. You guys were steady the entire round and were very deserving of the win. Nice job!

No big deal...I had lost my core temp mid way through the round....and just wanted to see dry clothes and a cig that was not wet and bent...

Added with ES going lights out with that thumber crap...on the uphill holes..and not being able to do anything with a disc to match his great shots...just started to break my mental game down..

It just sux it was terrible out..cuz on a nice day the great group I had....including the scorekeeper...would have been a blast..the waits woulda still sucked....(just cuz I hate getting iced on the box..pun intended. )...but me and gags woulda found someway to entertain ourselves

Overall I am glad we got the win..without some of our "big gunz"..and I was super pumped to hear you guys both won..! Way to get it done for sure..

Still don't understand how Franchi stayed so dry..? Wool..really..?

No Duke...sorry Bland but he is no stranger to Pyramids.....and woulda gave someone a great run out there..! Way to step up Duke and support your team in those conditions...with a :) ..very impressive your commitment to your teammates..!

Good luck with your season....and please somehow beat WV...

Before I forget... huge thanks to Jason Southwick for waiving the green fees for all us ...and for letting me use his house to change into new clothes in between rounds... and for starting the bonfire in the middle of parking lot to keep us warm throughout the day. Absolutely effing awesome ! ! !

Great post Jimbo. My wife decided to play tag with a curb on Friday and blew a tire (daylight, perfect weather). It was a real bummer but I was just happy everyone was OK. I can have the Stroika bus repaired its the precious cargo that is the concern.

Jim glad your okay!

Good game Tully! Weather was more than horrible lol. Non the less...so much fun. Alot of laughs.

Good round with franch and arty. I dont know how franch stayed so dry either!!! Way to keep your head in that game arty. Great mental game there...stupid splash on 14 my mental game.

Derrick and Dave...what can I say. Absolutely solid round. Very tough. Clutch putts...rematch for that is in order!

Jason. Thanks for everything! Couldn't have asked for more from you.

Time to wash the bag and straps...they already smell horrible.

Yes, wool naturally sheds water, and during a cold rain it regulates body temp very well. Cotton just soaks it up, as well as sweat, and offers nothing for temperature control. The new synthetic materials are good, but merino wool works best. I've got some clothing with merino wool and it's awesome; hell I've worn wool socks in the summer and my feet don't sweat. Old school rules.

Who are the fkng aholes who put glass in the fire?

Post by Jason Southwick »

To whomever thought it would be okay to put your glass bottles in the fire at the end of the day, you are pieces of excrement. Second, when are you coming back to Pyramids to clean up the hundreds of little pieces of broken glass in my parking lot?

Jason, sorry to hear about that. If I was closer I'd go help clean it up ASAP. Hopefully the responsible party can.

Also, I believe I left my bag on the table by the woodburner. Did anyone pick it up or notice if was still there. I think there were a pair of winter/snowboarding mittens with it.

Thanks,
Manny

Titan, on second thought, I don't want to see the culprits for a while. Plus I don't really trust anyone else to pick up broken glass thoroughly.

Please tell them not to come.
