Re: Crane Hill Team Thread
Yo yo guys! Finals iz looming...
I've done some analysis of late and determined that using a z in place of a s is cooler. Just a realization...
Anyway... We're going to be playing singles on reds and doubles on golds. We have all of our players qualified for Finals.
I will (I hope) be calling everyone personally tomorrow to double check but thus far the only person who has said they cannot make it is Kretschmar... He'll definitely be missed but we gotta win this one for the ole co-skippa'!
Everyone who is interested in playing will play. With only Eric missing and everyone else attending we'll have to sit 6 people throughout the day. I think that it's fair to run it this way seeing as how we're a full and fully committed team and I think that playing everyone will both be fun and give us a good chance to win this thing. Cuz' we're really good and stuff
So.. Finals costs about 67$ per team for Finals. This fee goes to Maple Hill to cover their costs on closing down the shop all day long. Pure Flight, as Team Crane's official unofficial sponsor, will cover these costs for the team so nobody has to worry about coming up with funds for the day.
There will be pizzas ordered for everybody but chances are it won't be enough food for EVERYONE. I would strongly suggest bringing some lunch for yourself or we could organize a team pot luck if y'all were feeling it. Taking care of your own lunch = less coordinating but if we wanna potluck speak up!
I still need to find out what rounds will be played when. I think it will be Reds 1st round and then dubz gold in the second round. If anyone has any questions call me up it's 413-313-2999.
I will DEFINITELY be calling those 6 people who will be sitting on Saturday to make sure they're ok with it and to work it all out.
Word is bond.
Love you guys.

Re: Crane Hill Team Thread
Looks like it will be singles on Reds first round..
Doubles on Golds 2nd...
Steve Merill will unfortunately not be able to make it tomorrow due to a shoulder that's hanging by a thread
We have 20 on our roster with Katie. Without Steve and Eric there it makes 18.
After talking with Hickson today he seems to think alternates can play if they want since there will be some 6somes out there. Basically you come and chill and get to play if ya want but you will know that you were "sitting" this round so even if ya post a 45 on Reds it won't count
My understanding is that our top 9 singles scores will count with Katie's score being our tenth. So we have 10 totals going into the doubles round which will produce only five scores but just like in the regular season they will be double weighted..
So ideally our 1st round total will be 560 or so. That'd be pretty solid I think (I also think we gonna do better than that! HOOORAAA).
With our top 5 doubles scores being double weighted it makes the most sense to stack the doubles teams as much as possible. So, I'll be stacking them.
Let's say our top 5 doubles scores range from 58 to 63. Each of those scores will be counted twice so two 58's, two 63's and two of everything in between will be tabulated.
I think if Team Crane pulls off 1,200 strokes for the day we'll be sittin' pretty.
Chalk it up as our goal.. Sub 1200.
Errrmm...
Sub 1180.
Yeah.

Re: Crane Hill Team Thread
I just wanted to thank everyone on the team for making me feel so welcome this year. I had a great time playing with all of you and look forward to seeing you guys more at tournaments or crane league's. You are all really good people and hope that all of you continue playing because there is alot of skill on that team. I wish I could have contributed more during the matches but atleast I saved my best performace for last. Good luck in the A pool next year and I know if I ever need a team to play on you guys are my first choice

Re: Crane Hill Team Thread
Yo yo yo.. what it do.
On Friday June 29th we're gonna celebrate Crane's awesome season and use the 125$ we won as a team. Now, what to use it on is a big question so gimme ya feedback. If we decide on some beers, maybe a keg or something that'd be alright, we could do some food or some this or that..
Krestch and I were thinking we'd play a round of random dubz at the course around 530 that friday and then partake in festivities later either at someones casa or at frankie b's or whateva whateva...
what y'all thinkin?
