Ok, after thought.

Team Burgess:

1. Brian Harrington
2. Josh Rogers
3. Todd Lapham
4. Steve Solbo
5. Dave Redlund
6. Matt MD
7. Andy King
8. Eric Pleso
9. Drew Austin
10. Troy Manni
11. TBD
12. TBD

Competition for that "final" spot will be hectic. But will be good. Hopefully challenges with the bigger teams in this system will spawn some 8 v 8 and larger challenges.

A game

Post by Dan Hale »

I fueled the fire so Button's would have at least one opportunity to bring his A game this season....we all know he'a a Pro on the NEFA board.....

now...gazing at the trophy that's on my desk I reflect on the words of a far better golfer than myself..."speak softly and carry a well-sanded disc"
....Team Wick goes 12 deep and I know that scares a lot of teams....even the bottom spots on our team are strong...we all contributed to the undefeated season

Now I call on Buttons to step up and put his game where his mouth is and play me at our first challenge...I think the only time you beat me this year was at Buff Handicap league when you were getting what....like 9 strokes?

....that being said....I will refrain from all heckling and board trash talking until the completion of the first challenge...

Dan,

The point to trash talking is,...you have to get it in BEFORE you lose.

Otherwise it's pointless.

So you beter get to trashing now!! because soon it will be to late.

actually brings up a interesting point....what about injuries? Didn't we address this last season in some way....can't remember what we did...any thoughts on if someone on a team's roster gets injured or happens to move away from the region?

PS I'm not asking for the purposes of keeping alternates, just curious cuz I know this was discussed last season.

If a person moves or is injured. They can be replaced, however, the person whom moved/got injured can not return in the same season.

That's not the official rule, but that's how I think it should be handled.

Pretty sure this is what we agreed on last season..thank you.

Also, no last minute, end of season roster additions if you don't have 12 in the beginning....list em all now, potential or otherwise

In other words, if your team has 8 guys committed and have 4 others that are uncertain or part time, or whatever, list them now, up front, whether they're playing or not and not later in the season.

Ok.
It's spelt s-t-r-a-i-g-h-t.
A nine handicap would have put you at 51.
A 51 nearly almost ALWAYS gets money at MH league.
And a nine handicap means you usually score a 63. And when you have a 3 handicap at buff, I don't see how that translates into a nine at Maple Hill, EVEN IF it was only your second time playing league. I mean hell, was it your second time playing there ever? That I could understand.

and the water boy "put down" doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Has 2007 been the waterboy for Wickham? Is this something I'm just not aware of? The year's not even over yet!

Looks like you should've edited it a little better, or twice.

Right, if you have alternates, and if someone needs to step down for a season for whatever reason, they can be replaced, but you will not get that person back until next season.

Burgess is gonna roll 10 deep.. with "alternates" being 11 and 12.

Since Buff x'd the tryouts have you given any further thought to joining team Devens? We have 6 fulltime and 2 subs so we could certainly use you.

The only time someone can be replaced is if they moved away. Case in point: Matt Elkins, Jake G, moved away during the first too seasons and they were replaced.

Gary C and Tim W were down for most of last year and we did not replace them. IF they are replaced then they are off your roster for a full year. Rosters are finalized (12 no alternates) for the season. Currently matches are 6 on 6, the minimum. That means there are 6 people who could sub in at any time.

I would love to play 12 on 12 at all times but people get busy and are unable to make it to the challenge

NEW FINALS FORMAT

First round doubles.

Second round triples.

The reason for this, more of a team atmosphere.

Finals are at a neutral course to be named in MARCH of 08
