Hey Fellas,

I think that this Sat would be a good day to work on moving forward...

I should be there at 8am...

We will be working in the area where the pheasant farm used to be...

It is the first hole in the "back nine" loop...

I hope to have a chipper...so we can drag off the brush from this area and chip it...

also should be able to cut off the chicken wire that is sticking up out of the ground...

Plenty to do...for how ever long you can stay...I plan on staying til dark...

If you have some good bolt cutters or wire cutters bring them and some leather work gloves...

Look forward to seeing how much progress we can make....
Thanks,

Nice! We crushed butts out there today. 90% of hole 8 has been cleared of dangerous material. Now it's in piles waiting for the truck to come and haul it away. There are many piles of brush waiting for the chipper. Then a few more spots here and there out on the course that need to have some metal removed and it's good to go!

Hey matt, we were able to get the metal out on hole 16 too, after you left. Little things here and there, the rest of metal on hole 8, and some thawing will allow us to dig for baskets. Hopefully 2010 is THE year.

Hey Fellas,

Big Thanks to John, Jason, Matt, and Ryan!!!

We got twice as much done as I anticipated...the right tools and some diligent team work...

I think that there is easily two tons of metal that is made man size and sort of flat to be loaded up and off of the course...

Thanks to the league fund for the hot pizza for lunch...really hit the spot...

6am I started this am it was 12 degrees...6pm when I got home 18 degrees...

Depending on the snow forcast is when I can free the truck for the next part...if it does not snow next weekend...I am up for it...

I will let y'all know as soon as I can...

Thanks,

YO YO YO

TM just got in touch with me and wanted me to spread the word on some work days...............

This Sat 3/20/10 we are looking to clear out some of hole 8 in order to make room for a truck to get in there to get the metal out.

TM also made mention of some work time on Sunday too.

Shouldn't be long before we can dig and install baskets, hole 8 just needs the ish removed.

Hope to see some people this weekend, we need the support. This is the big year for this course and its final push towards completing the back nine.

I am ALL IN! What time should I be there on Saturday. This work day will be 40 degrees warmer than the last one! WAHOO!

Also, will the chipper be there on Saturday? TM should just bring the truck to haul that ish away, because we are going to blaze a trail through the woods to get that metal out of there. LETS DO THIS!

So the workday for Sat will begin around 8. TM will have the chipper so we plan to bust out a good sized path and get that ish ready to go. TM wants to bring it to the scrap yard on monday.

There will also be work done on Sunday afternoon, around 4, to finish off anything not completed the day before.

I say we settle on basket locations and start digging holes!!!? :D

Hey Fellas,

Love the enthusiam...

I do not want to scare you...but...I am afraid that those who show up to help are volunteering to be subjected to an ancient chinese torture...

DRAGGIN BRUSH

....to feed it to the chipper...this will be an all day affair...I get the chipper this weekend...want to use it as much as I can... while I have it to use...Taylor Rental get $400.00/day to rent this type of equipment...

Bring your sun screen... sturdy leather gloves....plenty of water to drink...dehydration can be deadly...

The chipper burns diesel...I need to fill the tank...25-30gals...

The truck hauling the chipper and used to haul the "ish" burns gas...30-35gals...

I dropped $125 dollars puttting fuel in the Truck and Tractor that I brought down the last time out...

At the entrance of the pheasant area are a few large over grown autum olives that need to be eradicated for being invasive...

These just happen to be in the way and need to be removed to gain a large enough entry way to bring the big truck to the metal...or at least make the trip short and straight...

There is a large amount of chips that also need to be placed in this area...

I think that we will cover most of the area that is dirt with at least a foot thick covering of wood chips...I also need to get a dump truck into this area to dump the chips...

We got twice as much done the last time out than I anticipated...I do not want to get ahead of myself...there is a lot of work to do to finish dealing with the towns needs...

We are def getting much closer...

Look for ward to see y'all Sat am...
Thanks,

Tetanus City has finally been eradicated!!

TM and I were able to get out hundreds of pounds of metal on the course loaded and removed on Sunday. Lots of work done by TM, Matt, and Jay to clear out the new entrance to hole 8 on Saturday as well.

Looks like just a few more workdays to have some baskets in the back 9! :D :D

Hey Fellas,

Thanks for the hands on work...

We unloaded 2,680 lbs of "light iron" paying $225 Weight Gross Ton(approx.2,400some lbs)...

$269.00 in cash...will put a dent in the fuel expenses...

Need to spread a large layer of chips over the pheasant area that we have been focused on...

If the weather and equipment...personal time all cooperate...

I hope to be there again this coming Sat... to start spreading the chips...

I will let you know for sure... asap...

Thanks again for the hard work to keep this project on track...

Glad to hear that the metal is all gone! There must only be a few more tasks to take care of before the baskets can go in.

Hey Fellas,

I want to meet there this Sat...8am...let's see how much chips we can get moved into this space...

If you can help...bring some sturdy leather gloves...if you have a pitch fork bring it along...I should be able to bring any other tools we may need...

Still need to pull the fence that is sticking up out of the ground...further down just off the fairway...

Was hooking up the backhoe onto the tractor to bring it Sun...a hose let go on one of the stabilizer legs...

I should be able to bring the backhoe with the tractor...

Thanks,
