Forgot to mention what I lost during our challenge...blue star eagle in the water on hole one. Pretty close to the beginning of the dam opening and a yellow champ boss dove into the snow somewhere near the edge. Would love to get back if anyone found them...

Well there is one honest dude out there, and since he lives in the north country, I understand why it took him like 2 months to see my post (getting the NEFA updates by pony express)

THANK YOU ROB FEENEY!!!

Last week between hole 10 and hole 14, I had three disc fall out of my bag. There was a group of two behind us that just happened to pick up there round and split after hole 13. Loosing three discs sucks, but one has a lot of sentimental value. I hit an ace on the 2nd round I ever brought my daughter and had her baby handprint on the disc as a witness. It is a blue champion banshee with a silver baby hand print on it. If anyone see`s this disc, please confiscate it for me, thank you.

Rangers Brooke and Billmer told me that some free diver has been diving for disc

he was calling the numbers and keeping the no namers/disconnected numbers

the rangers asked him if he would just honor the L&F system and bring all to the BOX..he has since done that returning all to the BOX

cool someone is stand up on that front

side note Karl is scheduled for this WEDZ weather/sunlight depending
stay tuned!!!

Mike,

Ranger Bill mentioned to me a couple of weeks ago that I should put off diving for a while due to "water quality issues" (the rangers have testings done periodically and the most recent bunch showed "too high"). Once the levels (both the testing and the actual water) are lower he'll contact me and I'll go in again. I'm hoping for some time this month (Nov)...but Bill has the say so so I'm just a-wait'in.

Hopefully it happens soon. I can come help again. Maybe I will bring waders to check the shallower water by the basket, and then I can help scrub discs too. Tell Titan to get a hold of me when this is going to happen.

thx for the update Karl - appreciate your doing this at various courses when available and allowed. I am some distance from the course (westfield area) but would be willing to help you also if you give me a heads up - fishing waders or disc scrubbing etc.

email, pm or call me so i am sure to get the msg.

Thanks go out to Ranger Bill for sticking with me (as has Titan in the past) all of yesterday during the dive at Tully. But after the dive I have one thing to say:

I hate discs

Yellow ones, blue ones, clear ones, red one, tie-dyes, mid-ranges, drivers, old ones, new ones. My right arm is officially dead. FIVE plus hours (not counting the slightly less than 1.5 hours underwater) sitting in a pond scrubbing discs while gnats and mosquitoes tattoo your skin has me hating anything nine inch in diameter and plastic. I'm guessing Mr. Bill (sorter and stacker extraordinaire) might feel the same.

525

It's a large number...but it also happens to be the number of discs that we 'dealt with' yesterday! That's turns out to be finding a disc at the bottom (on average) every 9 seconds. And considering that it takes about (if you don't believe me, you're invited to "join me" next time!!) 30 - 40 brush strokes to totally clean off all the "pond stuff" off each disc, that ends up meaning that my right arm did about 20,000 strokes (give or take) over the day. Arm. Dead. One each.

But it's probably one of those "love / hate relationships". I'm guessing that this feeling will last for a day or two and then, of course, I'll be planning the next dive!

Please y'all check in with the rangers (during the Tully tournament or before / after) as they now probably have one (or more) of YOUR discs.

Karl
Ps: An 8-bagger for local M.C. Ya might owe Bill and me a brewsky...
Pps: And 'thanks' to the 3 amigos who helped lug them all up the dam....
