Jason..I am deeply disturbed by this...I can't get there myself until after dark...and that is no time to find glass...
I have told them TO NOT GO..as much as they would like to apologize..I told them you need some vent time....
I can if you like send someone else or be there myself first thing in the AM..and I promise to spen as much time picking up the glass as needed...
Do you have a personal number I can call you on if you would like to discuss..please pm pm..
Again I am truly sorry that this has happened..! Who throws glass in a fire in a parking lot..wow guys really..?..

Hey everyone,
I forgot to add great time yesterday on one of my favorite courses. Congrats to Tully on the W. It was a good match coming down to the last group.
Great groups both rounds.
The waiting in that weather(and now the glass on the fire) were the only two downers on the day.

Jason,
I am sorry to hear that. That is entirely unacceptable. I could make a drive out there if you want some help? I am available Wednesday (work today and tomorrow) That may be too far away for you but let me know.
Frustrating that people ruined a good thing for other teams as well. My bottle was put in the trash. That much I know.

Mine were put in the trash too as far as I know. I almost mistakenly placed one in the the wheelbarrel by the fire as I saw others in there and Rob Walker said "don't do that there is a wastebucket 25 feet away." So we promptly discarded mine and the ones in the wheelbarrel in the wastebucket. I too am sorry that this has happened and am willing to stop by and help clean up the mess, but wouldn't be able to get there until after dark as well.

Sh*t happens.
I can't tell you how many times bottles etc. have ended up in the flatrock fire pits.
I can honestly say that I am one of the guilty. something about fire and beer...
For all the times i've bitched about bottles in the fire i distinctly remember looking down into Southwicks fire pit, seeing a bottle already there and then stupidly tossing mine in right next to it. durr.
Sorry Jason

Re: BLand II vs. Tully @ Pyramids ~ 12/12/10
There were two bags found at the end of the night. I remember one was your Manny. Both were put in Jason's garage. I also found a black mitten, that folds open to be a fingerless glove on the course. I put it in my bag and forgot to bring it up at the end of the second round. It is hanging in my basement, still drying with lots of other stuff.
Jason, sorry that there was a mess in your parking lot. You were very hospitable and thoughtlessly leaving butts and bottle caps on your ground does not make you inclined to be so nice again. Please let us know how we can try to make up for abusing your generosity. If need be, I can bring a vacuum down to take care of the small shards of glass that were in firepit and you couldn't pick up. That isn't a chore you should've had to take on today anyway. Thank you for all you did.

Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that disc getting bigger?". Then it hits me.

Holy cow you think you know people. Listen, when I saw the broken glass in the fire the next day, I blew a gasket in my head. The previous day I congratulated myself to my employees, who have no choice but to listen to me extol my greatness, that I had conquered my anger, and was thinking about never getting pissed off again.
This particular pledge evidently does not cover discovering broken glass in the parking lot
Thank you Sean, I accept your apology, but it will be brought up whenever the two of us find ourselves at a fire, which I hope will be frequent in the coming years.
Bottles in the fire. Snap crackle pop thank you I'm now here forever. You'll never pick up all of me. Bury me, and eventually I'll rise to the surface. Burn me and I'll shatter and scatter into too many tiny pieces to gather. Flat tires and limping dogs.
Bad Tully. Bad bad Tully. Bad.
Still, once the THC settles you have to ponder things just a little, and look for some perspective.
I did make the fire, I did encourage a certain anarchy with the fire as well. It's a fine line between inviting anarchy and setting a limit on it. It's actually completely my fault for thinking my frisbee friends -- one of whom is among my oldest NEFA colleagues -- whom I consider mature, reasonable people, are actually juvenile delinquents.
I do appreciate the serious response from many Tully players. My big crime in this whole mess? Making Guy Lyman clean it up tomorrow.
Making Guy clean it up is bad. He's gonna be almost as pist as I was.
One more question. Two of you so far have owned up so far -- both of you named Sean, which makes me wonder about people named Sean in general, and wonder if I should be suspicious of Shaun LaForce and Shawn Mullen all of a sudden. Who else put glass in the fire?
I'm pretty sure it's some other guy on Tully who's real name is Sean (or Shaun or Shawn), who goes by some other name. Hey, we look at the statistics and jump to conclusions.
Ah, you think it's over and it's still not fkn over. I had one more thought through this whole thing. I was thinking which Tully people would have not let this happen had they been there. Derek, Paul Sullivan, and Titan.
And Franchi. No way that goes down with Franchi there, cause he has respect for disc golf courses like he demands for his own course.
Hmm. It's just so complicated. There's always little glitches in the big continuous search for happiness, and nothing's ever perfect.
I'd like to thank Team Tully for this opportunity to rant, and for the broken glass in the parking lot and how great it's going to be to listen to Guy rant about it. Like listening to church music. I'm sorry, but broken glass, and its ability to remain sharp forever...
Have we covered this already? How broken glass is a knife through the heart? How it's like spitting through the mesh of the confessional booth, trying to spray the priest with your saliva, just because.
Sprayed the priest. Way to turn it around.
Let's go for pure random evil. We'll kill people for no reason on cue, and as we're leaving throw our glass bottles in the fire.
Does it end here? Yes, it has to end. Like hand-tamping a tee pad. You finish before you're done.

In the defence of LaForce and Mullen... Sean is a completely different breed than the Shaun and the Shawn. Mullen has proven to be a true voice of reason and LaForce seems to be quiet and reserved. On the other hand the Seans we are discussing seem to be nice guys on the outside, but prove to be uncontrollable, absent-minded animals that cause trouble everywhere they go.

Hearing about the entire thing was so insane I thought I had warped into an alter universe...I was sampling some alright stuff..so I questioned if what I heard was reality or just some super crazy joke "Sean" was playing.....
well anyways the TullyRock crew is more in debt to the Lymans...Should we let Guy then punish Franchi and Cupcakes..?..makes sense..
