Congrats to The Farm Team for a great undefeated season and an impressive victory yesterday at The Finale!!!!

Hats off to the other top finishers Cran,Burg and Woodland. The competion was very close and y'all had the skills and determination to get it done.

Big thanks to Enman Fields for allowing us to take over the course for a day. After having a foot of snow last week the course was in darn good shape.

The after party was a blast, eventhough an errant (or not so errant) mini shot hit me on the low side. (Lyons or Grgr?)

I hope y'all washed the trophy before the celebration, remember it was in Frizzak land the last two years.

Thanks Todd and Solbo for another fun packed season, looking forward to keeping the tradition going next year.

Hot singles: Bobby ZZ Cannon with a 50, which he guaranteed he would do. I believe it's the new course record as well.
Hot Dubz: Greg Wintrob and Mark lights out putting Lyons with a 47.
CTP on hole 5: Abel Rodriguez with an ACE.

Kory I hear what you're saying. I think it happened to us twice where we fell a place after the doubling of the 2nd round scores. But that's how it set up. Maybe when we start discussing the future of the league we can bring that up.

Still you guys had a great finish at your first TC finale.

Doubles are worth double all year, why should finals be any different? You may think you were 2 strokes better, but thems the rules.

I'm going the other way on this one. I think we should play stroke play for team challenges as well as finals. .02

Time for Solbo to chime in about lack of daylight...as if it the change would make a difference in length of time challenges take. All it takes is one card taking the full 18 for it to be the same as stroke play.

yo,

Conant and Crew, great win and well played.

Cran was close again, but couldn't pull it off in doubles.

You guys did a great job with the whole event and the BBQ party was memorable. Highlights: Beefy on the microphone, the guy pissing himself, and of course handing off the Cup.

I think that might be it for Cranbury unless the TC is changed to a shorter schedule. After going 2-3 in the season and then finishing in a strong second we feel the whole season with its match play structure is moot. The finals is what the season is all about, but is run under a different set of rules. Finals truly tells what the stronger teams are because it is all based on stroke play.

Ideas:

1.Keep the teams the same and promote two regional match play events, two months apart. November, then January and followed by Finals in March.
2. Dome's VTI idea, one weekend, smaller teams ,seated teams, and a wild wild two days.
3. Everyone signs up for the the weekend event. We pool the names into skill based divisions and make teams combining everyone that will there. The teams are randomly chosen and posted a few weeks before. This way there is not built up BS and we can all get together and compete. The idea of the TC being course vs course is over so why not try something new?

I expect none of this to change and Mass will continue to have is TC the same old way. CT and Maine might do their own thing.

Cheers,
Whit

B.S. I cant wait to watch Solbo go recruiting throughout Mass. Why not just make a Mass all star team? o yeah, you all ready are!

scrap the "A" pool...go regional....and set up a small "State" challenge for the big dawgs who wanna show how big their "bone" is

space it out over more months....thus allowing peeps a chance to still play TC for their local course...

seems like a solution to many problems..!

I hear ya Johnny, but Kory is "convinced", it's really semantics, rules are rules and they are there for a reason, I don't care how "convinced" you are that you won by two strokes, b/c when it boils down to it... you didn't. You lost by 2.

Thanks to Jeff and Co. for putting on quite a show.
Thanks to Todd for putting up with everyone, all year!
Had a blast with both my groups! Alot of laughs both rounds! New places, new faces! That's always fun too!

Congrats to Bennett on hard fought wire to wire undefeated season, first one in while! For everyone else, it's time to reload and get ready for a Finals run in 2011-2012.
