Yeah, yeah, I fixed it. Seeing as I did the second post on this thread in April of 2011, you'd think that I'd know what I was doing by now.

Finally getting to play a round with, enjoy the company of, and admire the skills of Sir Timothy Walsh. Truly one of the good ones.

I was in a foursome this weekend for the North Shore Classic, and one of the players is Chris Mergemekes. After a while he asks if I'm "the same Stew who gave me a Pye Brook Orc for my wedding back in 2008?"

Turns out he was in town from California, and was playing a round the day before his Massachusetts-based finacee and he were getting married. I think I had just said "hi" and asked where he was from. I went to the car, produced a fresh Champ Orc, and penned in sharpie "Congratualtions on your impending nuptials" on the under side.

Yes, Chris still has the disc. And still happily married.

#4077 - Not even knowing anyone in NEFA-Land at the time and getting approval to play Hunt's Mean 18 during the week-end of my wedding at Cathedral of the Pines, in Rindge in 2006. And then... weeks later, back in San Francisco, getting a call at work from someone who found my 1st run ESP WASP at Pye and then mailing it to me in SF. Thank you mystery man!

And yes I still have that Pye Orc - never threw it, it's in the office with my other memento discs.

Nice timing on the post, Mergs. Today is my 21st wedding anniversary.

#448. Having a wife who's NEVER played a round of DG in her life, yet 100% supportive of the time I spend and the friends I've made in Disc Golf.

Watching my 8 year old son play in his first "competitive" round and having him more than hold his own. Granted it was an Ace race from the yellow tees at Borderland but he finished within 5-6 strokes of some guys more than 3x his age who play regularly. Won't be long before he's taking my spot on the Borderland squad. :alien:
