Why only 10 players Steve?

Would you be included in that 10?

Better yet, would the people on your team that are jumping ship to Charlton Woods be included in that 10?

B pool all stars would own burgess.

Even if they ran as many or few players as they wanted. Believe that.

Burgess has some VERY good players, but there are not 10 Troy's on the team

If there were, well, then the odds would change.

Oh my goodness. Oh my gosh. Sean has dared to talk about another team's business (prepare to be banned from disc golf) and on top of it Sean actually wrote the magic words that everyone is whispering. C woods...

Dakai hurt my feelings. Somewhere a would-be NEFA member is deciding not to ever play disc golf again. Somewhere a sponsor is cancelling all the many many donations he had lined up. Somewhere a star has gone out forever. Because Steve hurt my feelings. Again.

Yeah, members jumping ship to play for a C pool team next year, lol.

haha. funny stuff.

Probably wouldn't be included in the 10, but I don't care.

See how many of those "all stars" could make a set schedule challenge, lol.

Another reality that I thought of after pondering the "why no NH & VT teams" thread: As TC has spread out geographically, the time demands have increased. When nasa had to travel to Capn L last year, it was as much as a 4 1/2 hour ride for some of our team. This led to a majority of the team shacking up for the weekend down there.

Originally, the geographic outliers weren't a part of the league; Burgess was the farthest out. These multi-day commitments are naturally going to have an impact on a particular team's availibilty for a specific date.

I stand by my theory. Centralized decision-making will create more aggregate inequities than localized negotiations.

And to quote the old school beer drinkers out there: HAPPY BALLANTINE'S DAY!

I got to page 5 of this thread and skipped to the end....Here's an idea, it probably sux but F it. After finals, have the teams for next year be declared by mid summer sometime...Let the powers at be make a schedule, (a little more geographically tighter  ). Then let the captains hash out (lock in) dates before the season starts, and set em in stone. This way people can plan well in advance, we can avoid local event conflicts, and Charlie will have a better chance at getting laid all winter long!

Stew. I was just wondering if you were aware of this:

Romance in the Mountains
Tuesday, February 14

Bring your love for a ski date at Sugarbush this Valentine's Day. Lift Tickets are only $14. That's one sweetheart deal. With lot's going on at the mountain including a "Ballantine's Day" Party sponsored by Ballantine Ale, at Castlerock and romantic dining at Timbers there's plenty of opportunity to kindle some romance at Sugarbush this Valentine's Day.

I'm actually surprised you are not there already.

How about a default schedule for teams that cant work out dates amongst themselves. There is defenitely some benefit to scheduling around inclement weather and attempting to field your best possible team, so give the captains a chance to agree on a date. If neither is willing to budge, there is a default date (probably the last weekend of the month) that teams are required to play or forfeit. Only extreme circumstances would allow teams to extend their match into the following month. The validity of "extreme" would have to be voted on in the captains thread. If this situation arose, those teams would be required to play their make up challenge plus their originally scheduled match in the same month.

Every match i play is super fun. Maybe even more fun than the beginning.

Its the message board that's not fun. However, its a good place to hash things out to make things even more fun (if thats possible).

yeaaa dude.. good call charlie... It's true man.. Playin DG with your peer DG'ers is awesome always, team challenge is great. It's the bickering and stuff on here that gets tiresome. But it's the arena for discussion and bickering results naturally i reckon...

I feel like the board is divided on a very similar political spectrum.. The conservatives who don't want to relinquish the way it is and the liberals who seek to change with a changing environment around them...

Definitely shooting myself in the foot with that one  (nobody jump down my throat please) :)

But for real, I feel we shouldn't be dismissing TC as "this used to be fun" or spewing a bunch of divisive nonsense about B pool being inferior, which may be true on a team basis in terms of scoring, but most certainly is not true in the sense of being able to contribute practical thoughts to this forum. It's all in an effort to make it better for next year, and obviously there will be differing ideas about how to make that happen.. We just got to find that happy medium and work from there.. and then sit in a circle and sing kumbaya :flower:

Could just have the last weekend of the month be the default and have the captains have the choice to arrange an alternative.

Dude! Its just a couple teams that have trouble playing nice with others! If we keep changing the rules every year to stop the "gamesmanship" we will never have the rules set.
Girl rules
Roster rules
Finals rules
Travel rules
WTF!?!?!?!?!?!
New rule: If you cant be trusted to play nice...see ya later!

set schedules can still allow for captain freedom..more just a default date if not played by X this date will be default X

rules rules rules...I hate em we need em....these few teams are messing it all up for everyone!

gamesmanship should just simply be a hand shake after a round..logistics are logistics

West T is getting crushed next year! TR is coming HOME
