There is quite a bit of space out there, there should be room for us to carve around any of the areas that horses would use, they are just dog walkers who don't actually do the walking!!!!
I heard a young lad at the park the other day tellling his mom he knew how to play this game ,
all you have to do is aim at that basket over there and throw .......... Mindblowing!!!!!!!

Here is what he said....

Hi Kyle,

The best way to accomplish this is to write a description of the layout and where it would go. I have to warn you that there is a lot of vandalism in that area so whatever you might build could be destroyed by the dummies.

Take care,

FYI, I am running a big ultimate tourney at Ninigret this weekend July 10-11. Town has been pretty good to work with. Stop by if you are out there this weekend throwing a round.

Hey Clayton,

There is over a foot of snow cover...after the rain Yesterday and the 20degree weather today...

I am sure that is is very crusty on the top...

I will be clearing the tees for the 16thRI Frostbite Classic/Ice Bowl 2011 on Sat Feb 12, 2011 next week...

Consider coming down to play in the event...

I will be posting how much we have accomplished in clearing of the tees etc. on the tourney thread...

Thanks for the interest...

Was down there this weekend, course was awesome, first time there, very playable right now, absolutly no snow on the course.
We printed out a map online and thumbtacked it in the shack at the beginning. If it's still in there you can use it.

- Have fun

I did this up a few years ago, still seems pretty accurate. I'm assuming you will play the pro tee (blue). There are two holes that we actually play the red tee because they are by far the better, and more difficult tee for that hole. These are holes 9 and 12.
Road, nature trail, sand traps (holes 4 and 6) are all ob. Not making it across hole 11's ravine is ob, retee. Mando's are on hole 13 (its kinda obvious) and hole 18 (left of the tree in front of you, little bit of orange on the tree, not clearly marked)

HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Navigation Tips for Ninigret Park Disc Golf

Hole 1: Next to the hut
Hole 2: left of hole 1 basket
Hole 3: DOES NOT EXIST AT THE MOMENT, try a safari hole
Hole 4: Tees off on the road towards cedar tree. Sand and all road are ob
Hole 5: After u finish hole 4, walk across small field towards a path leading to the hole. U can see hole 17s basket, the path is
to the left
Hole 6: After u finish 5, take a left down the road to find six and seven
Hole 7: see above
Hole 8: After finishing 7, take a right down the road and hole 8s tee is on the left (New England's biggest teepad)
Hole 9: To the right of hole 8s basket
Hole 10: After finish of 9, walk back towards path on ur right, take a left at end of path to 10's tee.
Hole 11: Path to the right of hole 10's basket
Hole 12: Path to the right of hole 11's basket
Hole 13: Follow path on left of basket, back track down long fairway to Pro tee.
Hole 14: Backtrack slightly, hole 14 is next to 13 on your left
Hole 15: Path on left after 14's basket
Hole 16: Path on left after 15's basket
Hole 17: Proceed straight past the basket, walk out the short path and cross the road to the tee
Hole 18: After 17's basket, walk left down the nature trail and follow the pond. Path to 18 will be on left.

Hey Ryan, was that walkthrough you provided approved by the RI disc golf championship committee? If not, you may get in trouble...

I was there Thursday last week and the grass was pretty long, knee high most of the course. Got some good poison ivy afterwords too, so that crap is healthy.

Anyone know the condition of the "Grit" these days? Going to be at the beach for a few days and was wondering if it is playable.

Tm has been fluffing up the joint for the tourney so it looks good.

The RI championship committee has been working on a legit opportunity for a new course, we have work days and layouts being formed. Should be a great opportunity, more details as they arise

I was out here yesterday, place looks good. There is some pretty good flooding going on with some of the holes. Gonna be interesting to see if there won't be a pond on the Tee for hole 1.

12 weeks after a broken back and its great to get back to the GREAT NINI, played twice last week and saw a lot of new faces on the course. If we only could get a league together to bring some of these new players together, but who kno's maybe it will be back. And TM great cuting course is looking mo better one tree at a time, and it always plays the best in Winter. If ur goin down to do some trimin between hole post it up, ill swing and give u a hand

ZIM NATION!!!

Its great to have you back. Course is looking very good and I too have seen many new faces. Don't worry about league, that will be starting up soon, just don't know exactly what day yet.

It is too bad I can't advertise the league to get more players involved and committed to the course. Knowing TM if I posted anything about a league he would run to the town and say we are running an illegal betting ring. Then the town would call me and, yada yada ya.....

Anyways, I'll hit you up next time I go out

Why would TM do that? He is trying to grow the sport and support RI DG is he not?

What reason would an individual in his shoes have for "reporting" a league?
